I lost to Al Sandrin in the 1965 North Central Open (Milwaukee) and the game was published in both 'Chess Life' and in 'Chess Review' (annotated by Hans Kmoch). Well, I beat him in the same tournament the next year--ya think that game was published? 😢 I also played Al several games of 5-min speed chess (at Chicago CC) one afternoon and he was amazingly strong and fast without seeing the board! A very interesting person, indeed! 😊
