The two big story beats in WW lacking a traditional dungeon challenge may have been a result of cut content, but I think their lack of inclusion is justified by their found purpose in emphasising WW’s lean toward optional map exploration. The Greatfish Isle questline was a conspicuous pace breaker that opens up the world, and later the Triforce hunt has the player actively scoping out a large chunk of it. The game’s pace is also broken up by several mini dungeon like areas, both for progression (fire and ice isles, ghost ship and ship graveyard) and fully optional (haunted cabana, chuchu island, savage labyrinth). There’s plenty of fulfilling content spread around
Yanno...Someday, I worry that you're gonna run out of stuff to rank. And that's going to be a very sad day for all of us. 'Til then, though, keep 'em coming :D
Funnily enough I just finished playing Wind Waker HD today after playing it for the first time on Gamecube when it came out. I done Earth Temple first and was like “wow, this is a really fun and well designed temple”, and then done the Wind Temple directly after and was constantly getting annoyed with Makar for a solid half an hour and noticed it was a bit of a drop in quality. I know this is also a very small aside, but getting the tingle statues is such a pain in the Wind Temple. The other dungeons are reasonably obvious where to use your bomb, but the Wind Temple is pretty obscure. I tried 2 other locations in the same room with no luck so I assumed it wasn’t there since it’s in between two random patches of grass, and after an hour bombing random places I randomly found it and couldn’t wait for the temple to be over by that point.
I think it does depend, yeah. You're in a barrel, just trying to get to the stairs... and then you hear the Battle theme kick in because a Rat noticed you and is preparing to blow your cover. The Wind Temple was my stopping point in my early years of playing this game. I just couldn't get to grips with its verticality. But then with years of experience in other games, such as Twilight Princess, as well as the encouragement of having watched a Let's Play (by Ambisagrus), it finally clicked. One thing about the Earth Temple is that Medli doesn't have to get grabbed. Whether this is a nice thing because you can avoid it, or not-so-nice because that means if she does get captured, it's at least a little bit your fault is up to you.
There was a rumor going around that this game was gonna have two more dungeons in which the third pearl would have been found in one of them and a another dungeon involving another sage to give the master sword power. The rumor goes on to say that those two dungeons were then put in twilight Princess, which is why that game had so many dungeons. Does anyone know if this was true or not?
Lmfao... you sounded so proud of your "gold Medley" joke. Solid work hahaha

you can press the deku leaf button while gliding to puff it out and repel in air enemies. Would have saved you in Ganon's tower from the peahat
@@LuminousArc92 never realized that is what that does. Cool.
“Gloom hands”
Those are Floormasters.
CROSSCODE MENTIONED!
I love that game!❤
We need a ranking for this masterpiece asap

I would like the Earth Temple, if it wasn't so creepy. Not to mention the pain-in-the-butt Floormasters.

Pretty sure those are Wall Masters.
knew even before clicking the earth temple would be #1, such a good dungeon
