    They also make a different kind of tire siper that has two handles and has more grooves so it could get done faster and save your arms.

    So if you get away from alfalfa. What are your target goals then for planting high protein forages. Im just curious what your rotation would look like. Cause we are going into our first yr of no till.

    🚜🌾🧹 Your farm is truly impressive! The attention to detail and cleanliness of your barn is commendable. It's evident that you take great pride in maintaining a well-organized and hygienic environment for your animals. 🌟🐮🌾 Keep up the excellent work, and may your soybeans thrive as you continue to enhance your farming practices. 🌱👨‍🌾🌿

      I was just gonna comment on how clean it is. I've worked at a few different farms. Dairy cows, Cattle, Chicken, and your run of the mill grain farms down here and NONE of them were ever this clean. It's nice to see people taking pride in their work like this.

    Well the reseeding happens I supposed, but I know that is frustrating too. The mat grooving looks to me like it will work pretty good, keeps the cost down too, win win. Thanks for sharing, I hope your week is going good!

    Eric I think you guys will enjoy the Milwaukee brand. I made the switch a couple of years ago and am down to one Dewalt drill driver left. I used my Dewalt reciprocating saw last month and the tool holder failed and went into pieces. Great excuse to buy a new Sawzall.

    Getting a hard pan over the seed is always a great bummer. If conditions are right we can use a cambridge roller to crack the crust open again. But that would just work on tilled soil I guess. I didn't expect you having issues with crusting since you seed directly into the soil.

  • @jimbeck820

    Another great video! Again, enjoy your explanations. You grooving those rubber pads with that tiny “iron” had to be exhausting!
    Love seeing the cows run outside and their sometimes silly demeanor and jumping around….

  • @noneya8184
    @noneya8184 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Turn the cutting blade upsidedown in that iron that's what they call a razor cut when grooving tires it's great traction and doesn't take near as much of the rubber up and you can get several more regrooves on the rubber before having to replace it.

    You can buy a battery adaptor so you can use your DeWalt battery on your Milwaukee tools and vise versa save a lot of headaches when switching brands. I paint mine according to what adpaper it is and it helps me a lot. I to a two-town pint like red on to and yellow on the bottom so I know it’s to use DeWalt batteries on my Milwaukee.

    Ingenious idea to add traction to the floor. Not only do you have to childproof your house, you also have to cow proof your barn. Like you said, there's always one. Stay safe.

  • @traganmoffatt5550
    @traganmoffatt5550 ปีที่แล้ว

    You need to till your fields somehow. The ground is so hard it looks like nothing is going to grow through that hard surface. Your can hear the planter, when it’s in the ground it sounds like it’s hitting something. Next year make a good seed bed, it will be easier on your planter and the plant your growing will grow better.
