There are many many ragaparichayam classes in the TH-cam which are very useful for many music lovers. But Deepu’s classes are far more useful because they contain lot of explanations which are rarely available in other videos. For example the idea of Kampitha Gamakam is conveyed through clear demonstration of what it is and how it looks like. Even laymen with just a few ounces of musical sense can get a feel of the main Swaram of this ragam. I wonder how this Natta might look in Hindustani music and how the song like “Vighneshwara Janma naalikeram “ will look like if Rafi Saab had sung that in his North Indian style. Deepu can easily do that. But can we call it Naatta, then? BMK varnam in Natta uses Dhaivatham profusely, no? Congratulations Deepu. Saraswathi Devi will be very happy with you and your family and your Lec-Dem shows that you all are immensely blessed by the Goddess of Music and Arts.
Thank you so much! BMK does not use D3 very often in that varnam. .. but whenever he uses it, it is so beautiful. Like I mentioned in the video, Hindustani Music does not have a Natta. May be they can change the gamakas a bit, no?
@@ShruthiLayaDeeptham Thanks. I am interested in how all this theory finally shows up in raga alapanam in akaaram. That will help people like us to identify ragas before the krithi is sung. What are the swara combinations unique to the ragam (you provided some in this episode), which swaram moves and which don't etc. etc. That will be fun. Thanks.
@@vsdktbkm5012 I have tried my best to explain all that in the videos. But in a 15 minute video, we have our limitations, right, especially when there is no interactions. you can always whatsapp me for one-one interactions. I am sorry your ID seems weird so unable to catch your name.
@@ShruthiLayaDeeptham Mea culpa. This is the first video from your channel that I had the pleasure of viewing (it just came up as a YT recommendation). Will look through, now that I have subscribed.
