Racism is still well and alive in rural America. I come from a family of legal immigrants from Mexico. I still remember our trip to Eagle Ranch, NM several years ago for July 4th. Great food, great country landscape with forested mountains and horse ranches. And great fireworks! But when we suddenly started talking Spanish among ourselves, we started getting weird looks from everyone around us. Like if they had never heard Spanish before.
What blesses me most about Oprah's life is the shattering earthquake/ripple effect and the great impact she has had on the multitudes of peoples lives. Because GOD breathed life into her and used her so mightily, so many will never be the same. ALL Praises to JESUS. HALLELUJAH for Oprah Winfrey.
