This is possibly the best reaction I've ever seen. It was so interesting to hear some of the parts isolated from the rest of the song, and I loved that you caught the background vocals in the second half of Hongjoong's rap (1st rapper). Please, please do Guerrilla next. Story wise ATEEZ are a modern take on pirates (treasure seekers), but they can travel across dimensions with the Cromer. There are two universes, A and Z. Currently, they're in Z, a dystopian world where the government has banned the arts because unemotional people are easier to control. They are staging a revolution. If you want a better background, they dropped 2 trailers prior to Guerrilla for its album, The World EP 1: Movement, to help get people caught up. Thanks this was great!
You may have ruined me forever, because the next time someone says 'let me break this song down', I need them to do EXACTLY what you just did. That was the most satisfying breakdown I've ever seen. The giant smile whenever the drum and bass happened is just the cherry on top. Love how you picked up on so much stuff that had gone right by me; thank you!! Can't wait to see if there's more Ateez in the future, and have a nice day!!
you could go back to ateez’s debut with songs like treasure to see how epic their music always is. sounds like i’m always going on an adventure with them tbh. so much cinematic music in their discography beautifully combined with elements of edm, trap, etc. there’s groups that have fantasy concepts but you can never hear the concepts in the music like you can hear it with ateez’s. in the first series of albums, Treasure, there’s so much tropical type beats and parts of songs that sound very inspired to sea shanties to highlight ateez’s pirate concept. say my name comes to mind for a good example of the tropical beats and sea shanties.
I like producers reaction more than amateur reactions because producers know how complex & unique ATEEZ music is. They mixed many genres and make it ATEEZ's style.
This is by FAR the best breakdown/analysis of this song I've seen. Well done you. Immediately subbed your channel. The production crew behind Ateez love to play with people's expectations of song structure. The Eden/Edenary crew walk you right up to a certain point of the "normal" progression of a pop/kpop song structure and then just say: Naaah! Just kiddin'! And they've been doing this with their music since the beginning. (late 2018) Ateez in a very big way (and Kpop in general, to some extent) like to mash together as many different genres into a 4 minute song more than anyone I know. And I'm truly down for that. All I ask is that they do it well. And Ateez pulls it off every time. The more you listen to the small details and flourishes the more you realize they know what they're up to.They LIVE for subverting musical structures and expectations for NO other reason than they can. When I listen to the first rapper's section I could swear I'm hearing a pattern of a bunch of triplets dotted with sixteenth notes in between. This group is all about pulling the theoretical rug out from under ALL of us. And I'm up for the ride. I hope you are too. As others have already suggested I think you'd find the single they released prior to Halazia: Guerilla, a great song to wrap your ears around. It is ALL about subversion - musically and otherwise. Thank you for the most detailed analysis I've watched yet of the song Halazia. Thanks again.
This was a very nice analysis! ATEEZ are known for their anthemic songs, I suggest listening to Wonderland and Answer, they are the most anthemic songs of theirs imo.
This was a great reaction! The drum/bass portion always seems to hit big with guys 😄 It wouldn't surprise me if a Halazia remix or two were released, especially after the response it has gotten so far. Edenary actually let outsiders remix two Atiny favorites in this EP so they seem open to different perspectives and takes on their creations. More good music for Atiny is always appreciated 🥰
This was so fascinating and it's fun to hear things really broken down like this. I'm already a huge fan of their production but this just elevates that by making me appreciate all the little things I never noticed. Thank you for reacting!
Halazia (don't worry, it is sort of a made up word that combines Hala (Which stands for Hearts awake live alive) and zia probably meaning light). And this is a "spin off story" from their main one. It has a fair bit of religious symbolism from around the world, including the bell and organ and some of the choreography but I think the story itself is more "what if" than anything else. Wonderful to see a break-down of the musical elements! Thank you.
I hope your girlfriend can give you all the recommendations for other stuff from ATEEZ, since they and their music are epic. As others have said, I think hearing Guerrilla would be a good next choice, but of course they have a no-skip discography and MVs. I love your analysis and breakdown together to really give a more technical look at how these things are actually done. We know the ATEEZ production team (Edenary) is incredible, but this just highlights that expertise. And it's interesting that when you dropped out some of the lines (19:50) it starts to sound like the instrumental that became Blue Bird on the album, as well as what we heard at the end of Guerrilla as the preview to this song. I'm sure there will be a remix for this in the future, because why wouldn't they?! But it may be a bit. ;)
Wow! I've seen music producers react to Ateez before, but your reaction/analysis video is the best I've ever seen! I love how you break sections down, isolate parts so that we can really understand what you mean, and show it onscreen. You highlighted sounds I hadn't noticed before and allowed me to appreciate the song in a whole new way. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do more breakdowns/analysis of Ateez! Besides the title track Guerrilla, I'd love to see you do Cyberpunk, The Ring, and New World from their The World EP. 1: Movement album! Thanks so much for this and keep it up! You're awesome!
I'd really love to see your breakdown of their song Geurilla! Maybe even a comparison between the original Geurilla and the Flag Version which was released on their Japanese album.
That background vocal during the rap is Seonghwa-and it’s super cool-kind of eerie like. Ateez has some very good vocalists and they use them well. The big ball-this is set in a world where emotions are banned. The balls are where the emotions are stored. Ateez here are in rebellion and trying to get feelings back. Halazia-they have an earlier song Hala Hala. Hala means Hearts awakened live alive. Zia possibly means light so hearts awakened live alive in the light. But lore aside short answer it represents hope.
Thank you so much for the interesting musical insights into the song!! I never noticed how the chord progression is altered towards the end but now that you point it out, I love the way it leads into the final resolution with the EDM section. I totally agree with you that the drum and bass section is best part of the song but I actually think it's wise to keep it short. That way the listener always feels like they want more of the song rather than "oh is this still going". I really really hope you break down more Ateez music in the future because I would love to hear your thoughts :-)
Thank u for reacting halazia from the music producer's pov. This makes me appreciate ateez's music even more. Looking forward to another ateez songs breakdown and analysis
Wow! This is a great reaction. I love discovering the hidden sounds in their songs, it's always amazed me. And it makes me even more respect and admire to the producer team for their great work. Please react to more ATEEZ songs like "Guerrilla", "Cyberpunk", "The Ring", "Wonderland"
I love how much text painting is in the instrumental! You pointed out a few of them but there's so much in there. Fantastic reaction and breakdown! Love the insight, love the respect
I'm going to guess that you like Drum and Bass? LOL! But seriously, I really enjoyed your reaction and breakdown as a producer. I wouldn't have noticed any of the things you pointed out that was going on musically in the background but it made me like and appreciate the song even more. Ateez has one of the best set of producers in Kpop in my opinion. Not only is their music really good but the quality is always A1. Don't know if you've listened to their songs Say My Name, Cyberpunk, The Ring or New World but would love to see your reaction/breakdown of those songs.
ohhhhh i loved ur video a lot u r the first one talk about this part of the song the real production part and thank u for reacting to ateez i hope we can see more of them here
As a diehard atiny and music production enthusiastic, this video was a gift, thnk u sm, Im happy u liked it! In this EP there's an outro wich has a way longer D&B section. Also I recomend un Good Lil' Boy which was produced by the leader (and captain) Hongjoong and it mixes D&B with pop rock which is SO interesting and refresing :)
If you choose to listen to more Ateez I suggest these songs: Guerrilla Hala Hala Fireworks Deja Vu Answer Inception The Real Wave Wonderland Each of these has a very different sound and concept. The order doesn’t matter. Pirate King is their debut song. Ateez mix genres a lot but do it well. They definitely do the unexpected and often do not do what’s expected. Ateez-they generally
Also if you need more slower / groovy tracks. Not the anthemic hype ones. Then I'd suggest Take Me Home, Cyberpunk, Mist, All About You, Wave and Be With You.
This was a such a cool breakdown/analysis on top of a reaction! I am also a HUGE fan of the drum and bass final chorus with the chanting, if there was one critique I had with this song it’s that I wish it were longer 😩 subbed for great content, also your gf has great taste in music! Lol
Thanks a ton for the analysis, it was extremely interesting. I'd love to see you analyse more of their songs, so that I myself can gain more insight into why I love their music so much (which hasn't happened before in such a consistent manner, so I assume it has definitely something to do with their production team as well). Edit: I also do wish someone makes that dnb remix at some point, it sounded sick!!!
Dude I loved the breakdown of the song!! Instantly subbed to your channel! You're right about ATEEZ's songs being so u predictable. You can't guess where it goes next. Looking forward to more ATEEZ reactions and breakdown from you.
Absolutely LOVE your reaction and breakdown analysis of this amazing song. I'm always admiring Edenary's genius production of Ateez' songs and seeing you break it down like this just reaffirms my appreciation of the hard work that goes into their music. Thank you so much for this great watch! On this album, the in fact released remixes of past (great) songs, so let's hope Edenary does a drum and base version of this song soon! More more more please... this was one of my favorite Halazia reasons ❤️
I get why you love the bass but i think it's the fact that it is not everywhere that makes it better. Like your version gives a lot slower feeling. (don't know if that's english) Their version has more impact. And yes, Hongjoong's raps are always to die for. An other thing, your hearing is absolutely insane. The speed of you remembering the notes and singing them on tune is incredible. (Maybe it is normal for someone like you and i'm just slow but anyway, impressive.)
really love the reaction and esp the analysis/ music breakdown. looking forward to more ateez reactions from you! i would like to suggest wonderland, pirate king and guerrilla :)
Thank you very much for analysing the song. It’s very nice to understand how the song is structured. 💛 And I Agree with you for the baseline…it’s insane. (All the song is just PERFECT) 😊
Amazing analysis! You’ve made me appreciate the song even more. Just earned a new subscriber :) As others have said, I recommend listening to Wonderland! It has a really great build up with the anthemic feel using brass instrumentals
Great reaction! I have not come across someone who really analyzed this song like you did. I appreciate this song even more. Thanks for doing this, it was really informative and fun! I hope you get to check out more Ateez!!
Thank you so much for reacting to ATEEZ! It's so nice to go through their song with such a great music breakdown! Looking forward to your reaction to other ATEEZ's song. ^^
17:10 “Did you hear that” during the live stages we found out that’s Seonghwa (the guy with white hair) vocalizing (I’m not sure if other band members helped in the recording though)
Your breakdown and analysis were so cool!!! I feel like I learned a lot from your video! Gave me a new appreciation for Halazia and I’m already obsessed with it lol ❤ def gonna subscribe
Found your reaction after recently discovering Ateez, and man, I couldn't agree more about the dnb part. We need a full dnb version or at least a version with more than 8 bars of it! Great stuff, man!
By far the best music analysis I've seen thus far, the part where you look closely at each part and fully break it down was amazing! Makes you love the song and the hard work that goes into it even more. Thank you! I hope you'll do more of these for Ateez in the future - The Real and Cyberpunk would both make for cool breakdowns, I think. There's definitely stuff we're missing in the mix that you could help bring to light.
Would love to see you react to some stray kids: maniac, the sound, gods menu but also some monsta x: beautiful liar, love killa, follow!!!! love your videos xx
Love your reaktion. ATEEZ are amazing they have a very specific way of producing music. I think you could also like Stray Kids. They produce 99% of their music themselfe (3Racha - Leeder and the two main rappers). They have some very experimental songs like tortoise and the hare, side effects. 3Racha have the most copy rights credits in all 4th gen kpop. Fun fact they are really good friends wit ATEEZ.

Ateez are the next big thing
They like to do remixes, maybe a harder version of halazia will come out on a future release.
I have watched so many reactors including professional musicians and yours is BY FAR the most interesting and enjoyable!!!
Thank u for reacting halazia from the music producer's pov. This makes me appreciate ateez's music even more. Looking forward to another ateez songs breakdown and analysis

In conclusion ATEEZ does not disappoint and they are good at what they do, every day surpassing themselves and being the best.
Watching this and suddenly i feel like I'm becoming a music producer😭 really great reaction thank you!!
If you choose to listen to more Ateez I suggest these songs:
Guerrilla
Hala Hala
Fireworks
Deja Vu
Answer Inception
The Real
Wave
Wonderland
Each of these has a very different sound and concept. The order doesn’t matter. Pirate King is their debut song.

this deserves more views man. Also drop that remix
also what is this program? looks fun to play around with those components :)
Not gonna lie. Around 9:25 I thought the Powerpuff Girls theme song might start playing. 😆🙈
You should do a breakdown of their song Cyberpunk😏 I think you'd really enjoy that one
Thank you very much for analysing the song. It’s very nice to understand how the song is structured. 💛 And I Agree with you for the baseline…it’s insane. (All the song is just PERFECT) 😊

Where? I highly doubt it bc pretty sure it sounded like Maddox, a girl or someone from a sample.
He probably just mouthed it.
oh this was amazing, i love the dissection of the song

ATINY PRESENT 😎
Id actually LOVE to see the analysis on guerilla jksdfhkjsd
I loved your reaction pls react to more ateez songs
I love that I feel like I learned something from your reaction and breakdown. I've never seen even other producers do it this way. Thank you for going so in depth.
Been hoping to see a break down like this for Ateez! Definitely would like to see more.
Ateez ❤
For whoever just start watching this reaction please watch until finish because you wil learn and find out so many things that we doesn't known about this song! You won't be disappointed.
So when are you dropping that DnB version of Halazia? 👁👁 Idk about you but im trying to Listen
Me gustaría que reacciones a guerrilla, dejavu e Inception realmente las mezclas son geniales. Y B-side como The leaders, to the beat son los mejores
Their endings tend to go really hard for about 30 seconds.😂
can you pls react to ( ATEEZ JONGHO & Maddox - Ditto cover )
gf got tasteee!
His girlfriend will be so proud xD
We believe that metal ball is the "gravity".
You should listen to cyberpunk. 😅
How do you get the song drum/bass and etc?
