Just got the Sony MDR-7506 from Guitar Center t'other day. Only complaint: during prolonged use, if not adjusted JUST RIGHT, they do seem to dig in to the top of my (balding) head.
Hey i need your help. I bought my k240 from amazon yesterday but when plugged into my audio interface it sounds unclear and distorted. Please give me a description of how it should sound. I am a first time flat sounding headphones user.
Here are my suggestions: 1. Make sure that the headphones are plugged in all the way and that you are using the proper connector. 2. Make sure that your audio levels are not peaking above -3 dB where distortion starts to occur. You may be getting sound, but you wanted your device to receive audio at the correct level (usually -24 to -12 dB) 3. Make sure you have the latest updated driver for your interface so it can work properly with your computer.
Whoa… I just got the same of of E bay yesterday and they were knock off. Take the earcup off and check the size of the drivers 😢 they got me. But are allowing me to return their fakes 😅
my AKG K240 Studio headphones sound awful - muddy/wooly/boxey i also have akg 240DF from the 1990's as well as more recent shure srh440 and srh240 which all sound really good. ... so i'm starting to think i got sent either from a bad p[rduction batch or just a poorly made 'friday special' set of headphone .. got mine in april 2022i just never use em.. they're that horrible. ... emailed AKG tonight to see if my serial number ties to to a bad production batch or not...
AKG might sound a little weird to some ears because the headphone's frequency response balances in the mid frequency to high frequency range. I believe they're a great set of headphones and very comfortable. I also typically only listen to music with those headphones when I'm mixing and want to hear frequencies my Sony Headphones aren't providing me.
they don't sound nice at all.. nothing like my AKG 240DF or my shure srh440 headphones, they sound muffled/out of phase.. i'm thinking they got wired up wrong in the factory and not tested. @@jeffreyhackmedia i emailed them 9 days ago - nothing back as yet.
@@jeffreyhackmedia bro, what should i do, i am not at mixing, i am audiophile who wants a good sounding headphones to listen music, lectures, youtube etc. should i choose this akg ? or some other like ,sennhieser, sony , etc?
I recently bought a pair of akg k240 mkll, which are the same as the k240 studio. They sound so bad : No bass, and a sort of muddy veil on the high mids. I sold them quickly, because my k240 sextett cardan (600 ohm, early production from 1975) sound so fantastic, so large, with plenty of headroom. Okay : you need a good old amp to drive them correctly. They don't match with the iphone output, because they need a lot of power. K240 sextetts (ep, mp and lp), k240 df, k340 and some other older stuff from akg in the 70´s and 80´s, these are the real bargain. Modern chinese k240 are simply a joke.
If you mixed this song playing in the background . I’m copping a pair 👍🏾 great mix
akg 240 or audiotechnica m40x ? wich one is better for mixing and mastering (i dont have studio im making beats in my home)
M 40x is super

Sorry you're having that problem... the headphones seemed to fit well for me. I hope your issue has gotten better at least.
I bought the k240 a while ago and I prefer it over my audio technica m50x for a lot of music.

Hey i make Cinematic music and ethical musics, which headphone is better for me between Sony MDR 7506 and AKG k240 mkii
My go-to headphone set would be the Sony MDR, but you can use the AKG set as another reference for the details in frequencies you might be missing.
