Aditi is an example of data scientist from math. She knows statistics and stuffs, a typical of smart data scientist. But there are also some of non math background graduates like IT or Econometrics who are also getting successful as data scientist. I'm an entrepreneur and hiring 2 data scientists for my business. It was very nice interview l, with deep understanding of whole business scenario and when aditi said it is not that glamorous and required so much hard work with spending ridiculously lot of time with data cleaning it was relatable as I have same exprience as data engineer 😂😂

Can someone please explain to me what math is really really required to be a data scientist? I understand why it makes sense to know statistics, but why math? Is it sufficient enough to just know the basics of math like linear algebra and calculus at a beginner level?
For optimising your ML DL models you need math, you need the knowledge of gradient decent, calculus strong differential knowledge, different functions, so yea you need math. Otherwise you will be blank when tuning your hyper parameters of your model.
