Reason why Indian Graduates are successful Overseas is because they get that Confidence Abroad. Other reason is that Most people in India study out of Compulsion because may be they want Good Job or Earn more Money but Abroad, Most Students Study because they really want to. One more reason is that Abroad, Education System is more Focused towards the refinement of Students overall Personality rather than confining them within the Books alone.
In my view, its like why indian education system is not so concerned about the real practical knowledge the cannon example as u said, just because of laziness i must say that who will do this n that it just theory is enough for these guys, the Indian educators don't want to show their possible efforts for students what they can.
