Love how you can see that Noel haven't changed over the years - and I love his comedy - new and old, that man has just always been brilliant and confident enough to show it
I like this guy. He's fairly good. But, as a suggestion, I think if he grew his hair longer, wore pink or silver cowboy boots, and wore some eye liner he'd be really funny...
I agree. And while he's great on his own, it'd be genius if he worked with someone. There was another guy who did one of these gigs... Julian, was it? Imagine if they made a TV show together, and called it The Mighty Boosh. It's really random, but I think it could work. I mean, I'd watch it.
It should be fairly obvious that this is a very young Noel Fielding (and a very young Lee Mack) back in the late 1990's. And if it isn't, the video's description and the comments should offer some help. I swear, I try to keep myself from reading YT comments. Why will it not work?
I was interested in that, so I did a little research... the first South Park episode aired on 28 March 1998. ‘Cartman gets an anal probe’. Noels appearance on this show was 15 July 1997. So there we are. I still don’t think they stole it from Noels stand up routine. That would seem far fetched.
@@bonstockage3745 The first South Park episode actually aired in the US in August 1997, however South Park was based on a short film from 1995 (Spirit of Christmas) with the same characters that basically was the first viral internet video and it featured the phrase "They killed Kenny"
The Christmas video says "Frosty killed Kenny", but the "they/you killed Kenny" was first used in August 1997 and then repeated. Noel Fielding appeared on this show 7 months later in March 1998 so probably he was making a nod to South Park, which would have been super topical at the time.
+Charcoal Pit In what way does he use the same jokes? I saw him live a couple months ago and he didn't use any of these jokes. In fact, this act is really different to how he was when he formed Mighty Boosh with Julian Barrett. So what are you talking about?
+Gromit Pesley the style flows well and stand up will always be different to a series. He has that amazing blend of reality and fantasy that he's always stuck to.
Looking at this one a 2nd time I realise I was quite wrong and it's similar to something else he did that I can't remember right now but it's different just with the same rhythm
go for it then. how old are you? im 13 and its my aspiration. im reading lee macks autobiography and he said anyone can do it. theres no certain type (which is what he used to think). i never thought i was the type but i think i could do it, and im sure you could too
Loved him in Twilight
+Lewis Kay-Thatcher thats not him lmfao
+Lewis Kay-Thatcher - XD
Lewis Kay-Thatcher yeah he was so mysterious
LMFAO! Best comment
He looks just like pat here too 😮 🐀
Young Noel is surprisingly much less weird than young Julian.
Yeah I thought that too
Don't insult him. He'll come at you, like a buzzard. @@stayforthepeelpronpls4774

I love that he was always an adorable weirdo.
Lee Mack psychopathically screaming "YES!!" in response to Noel is the perfect kinda energy
my gosh how young all these people were. Where has the time gone...
he looks like salad fingers and edward cullen
+Firoza - Edward Cullen yes! Glad someone else though it XD
Noel has such an obsession with rams' legs. God I love him.
"The guy had sycamore hands! We all saw it!" That was written down on his list of things to say in front of a lot of people. Good work.
Noel's a brilliant comedian. Definetely my type of comedy. can't help but laugh at everyone one of his stories x

Oh my god! SO. FREAKING. YOUNG!
Oh my GOD. 😭 so gangly. Still freaking hilarious.
didn't lee mack and noel fielding share a flat back in the days?
Remember watching this first time round as a young lad. Loved Gas!
HE IS GORGEOUS. And hilarious.
Love early Noel stuff - takes me back 😂
Holy young Noel! I think I prefer the long hair. lol
The way he weaves around it's like he's only just learned how to walk and isn't quite steady yet. Anyone notice how much stiller he's got now? :)
VINCE YOUR HAIR!!!
mighty boosh fan??
Maaaybe
He’s gone to work at Rumbalows
FOEL NIELDINGGGGGGG

god, he's so young
4:07 Wow, South Park stole that! hehe
Probably not. South Park started before this video.

HES SO SMALL
Does anybody know where I can find the Richard Ayoade GAS early stand-up video? I can't find it anywhere.
He's probably had it removed. It www spoiling his image!
They lived together, for a while.... Noel Fielding, lee Mack and Julian Barratt!! ☺️Kx
Oh my God, Noel killed Kenny
That moment when you realise he's been using the same jokes/voices for years! :O
Makes no sense.
***** this is an early video of noel fielding and he's used the same jokes even now he's 41

Some great physical comedy, AND he killed Kenny! lol 😆
The bastard! 😁
I think Edward was based off of Noel.
I miss the 80's
I miss the Roarin' 20's... whats your point?
He sounds so bloody London!
Haha aw! Bet he was still at College when he gave this a go :) Sweet lad.
Is that Ephraim Winslow?
Love it!!!!
dude predicted south park lmfao
OMG he's so young! He has calmed down a bit...but not too much. ❤☮🌎
Was everyone 9st in the 90's?
Well I know I was , probably due to everyone being on a amphetamine and mdma diet
Yep: like a 9-stone Cowboy.
Was he 11 here
you do realise this is from the 90s
They did indeed!
young noel fielding. v good
his VOICE
He reminds me of that guy of the telly.
How old is he then
OMGGG
WOW... Noel before the silver boots ,,looks unreal .what's the Edward Collen is going on ..LOL
That was excruitiating!
0:04 Poor guy must have a cold
hahahaha
He looks like Charlie SImpson from Fight star or Busted
The fountain of youth
1:37, Greg Davies??
noel without his emo hair!!!!!😲😲😲
I get the idea this is where Bollo came from.
So young, so tiny.
Ahahaha - that's the birth of the moon. What the hell is he yapping about? Tiny Noel.
His head looks like it weighs more than his whole body.
Edward Cullen ???
Noel!!!....There is Noel other!!!
awwwwwwe isn't he lovely :)
He's a lovely lad, but how the fuck he became so famous of the back of this shit I will never know.
it was the boosh
Pattinson could do Fielding for his biopic
Lee Mac during his speechead days.
I mean Lee Mack
Lee Mack tho!! 🤭Kx
How can a head be so big and a body so small
Damn! They were all so thin, did they even eat?!? 😳
Phew. They must be thankful they got the Boosh gig up and running.
Oh Noel.... why did you cut your hair?? I LOVED IT LONG!
I want to be a stand up.
go for it then. how old are you? im 13 and its my aspiration. im reading lee macks autobiography and he said anyone can do it. theres no certain type (which is what he used to think). i never thought i was the type but i think i could do it, and im sure you could too
I feel like that was the birth of salad fingers... we know the truth now Noel!
Stripy father
There was SO much cocaine backstage.
oops nope, didn't pay attention to that fact. :)
He sounds like Dondylion
He used to be so hot!
noel before naboo,s root booster . it,s an outrage .
Edward Cullen alright
Not quite funny enough for me...kind of mild, friendly surrealism not dead donkeys being dragged up a flight of stairs
salad fingers
His eyes are brown in this....
woah short hair.
So young and thin. Lee, I mean
24823589236586325713265063450x hotter than Edward Cullen. Gtfo.
So his stand up routine is the same old stuff he has always done
he wasn't funny 11 years ago i see nothings changed
lol lee mack
looks like a 12 year old ahah
What a badly written set haha
Andrew Tucker Do you really think that Noel writes material? 😆
He is absurdist improvisation personified.
So spunky
Lee Mack was still shite then.
This is why luxury comedy failed. He had the money to make it but was still talentless.
The most unfunny thing I've ever seen
Rob Pattison's more funny twin 🤦♀️
both very thin...noel fielding not funny then either
