I will say that Kendo and Tetsutesu had an actual full on battle with a villain in the camp arc, so at least some extra side characters have been involved in stuff at times outside of training. Class A battled at the USJ in season 1, we just didn't know all the characters at the time.
The world itself is what I love about MHA the most. Because of the Quirk, people have all different wild looks and face. So no one talks shit about how they look or there color. I mean who cares if your asian or black if your face is a comic!? You could think its ridiculous, but it is truly a kind world.
Its not as kind, innocent and naive as you think, discriminations against mutants, quirkless people and people with psyches that are deemed abnormal or intimidating due to the unjust nature of quirks exist, you're way too idealistic. Right now you're just seeing the side without the utter discrimination of the world, you'll see that ugly side more apparently starting from the next cour, you'll soon realize that the world of mha is just a dystopian society all around in reality, a world that is filled with intricate societal issues. While yes, society has long progressed past that point of paranormals, but its still there, especially after all might's retirement, the issues are only getting exacerbated from there on out
I feel like discrimination was more common during the first few generations but over time it became the norm. In fact, Deku was bullied for NOT having a quirk which made HIM the abnormal one. So I feel like the discrimination against quirks has lessened greatly, but not completely gone.
It’s funny u say that, cuz while ur 100% right it IS less discriminatory than our world...it still is. You’ll see in coming arcs that there are indeed discrimination and the way society has progressed to that point is mired in history & culture very similar to our own. If there’s one thing Horikoshi does right, it’s his on target cultural commentary. It’s part of why the 2nd half of this season’s arc is so beloved.
One thing I’ll Also mention about how accepting the world is is partially cuz MHA is in a school for upcoming heroes. These heroes use their quirks to help others. If ur not a hero, u r not allowed to use ur quirk, as such ur quirk is useless. And as such, it doesn’t benefit anyone. Diversity is only acceptable when said diversity allows them to be beneficial to society. Hence the hero profession is accepting, so long as u have a quirk (we r introduced to this world via a quirkless boy who is shunned by society). Elsewhere, if ur quirk can not benefit anyone, u can be discriminated against cuz like our world, differences are not seen as good.
Low key knew Class A will take this L with that roster. If Tokoyami wasn't in this team I wouldn't even have doubted they would lose. For some reason they just cannot let Momo take a solo win. On top of that they had naval laser. Atleast it was a roller-coaster of who would win.
To be fair the 1-B roster was strong. Three people with abilities that can control the battlefield, two of whom had spammable offensive area of effect attacks against a team that didn't have nearly that much range.

Honestly, if Tokoyami had been more decisive, they probably would’ve won. There’s no way Manga could’ve fought him off after catching those hands from Hagakure, not to mention Kendo was a sitting duck. But, who expects mushrooms in the throat.
Hmmm, japanese school year starts in the spring I think and right here they've put on their winter costumes so from S1 to now it's been about 7 or 8 months maybe? Well that's my best guess at least. Good thing Tokoyami didnt have an allergic reaction and have his throat close up or something.

The word you're looking for with Deku is tactician. The strategist is the one in the office or war room planning long term and grand scale, the tactician is more short term, in the moment with a limited scale they focus on.
As much as I love eating mushrooms, I don't like to be covered in one lmaoo. But at the end, Momo does make a great leadership, whether she win or lose.
Imo Kendo was MVP of this match. Momo was MVP of her team while her and Tokoyami tried to carry their team with 2 useless members. Ayoma and Toru... Aoyoma didn't do a thing. And Toru had the best power to be the perfect Stealth character but her being so loud made Kendo nabbed her. Kinoki.... she's fucking dangerous. Growing mushrooms in Tokoyami throat. She could kill him.

Also she supposed to be a hero, her action isn't heroic like and could kill Tokoyami in a training exercise. Now granted the villians won't care and will resort to such tactics.... however as a hero, following the hero code, such tactic isn't heroic like at all. All the quirks are dangerous and can lead to death as to why hero school exist in the first place. But as for Kinoki herself using that as a last resort is pretty dangerous.

I feel from a writing standpoint this is the weakest fight horikoshi has made. The fight in itself is so forced to make kendo's team win and even when momo loses he makes it seem her losing was not a bad thing.
It wasn’t bad. Momo did everything she could do to ensure her a team to win. And we saw how Kendo thought Momo would get frazzled again like before, and yet she didn’t .
She knew recovery girl would be able to help them after the match. Plus he’s sensible and she knew that, he would throw away his life by being stubborn and not giving up. Besides they are supposed to treat each other as if you the opposing team are villains. If anything, Bakugou is worse than she is lol

The 3rd match is going rushed. The 4th fight going be 5 minutes. The 5th fight is in ep 9. This arc ends in ep 10. The 3rd fight, the 4th fight, and 5th fight going be insane. Way higher budget.

If there’s anything I love about this arc, is that even when a team loses, you can see how strong and cool they are. Class 1-A and 1-B are no slouches
