Brother this is so entertaining, beamng used for teaching driving for some bobleheads getting their licence. All jokes aside , beamng has alot of the fundameltal thats needed to drive in real life like- awareness, engine and clutch control and the realism really helps this as there are ingame consequences. WE NEED MOOREEE!!!

We were all originally going to take this event really seriously (with all the driver starting off thinking it was), but changed the tone quickly knowing a basic test would be too boring since everyone would pass it :) All of these guys are pretty decent drivers in game and irl (Keagan for example can drift well in game and irl); But they were forced to function in really poor conditions XD So we all look like newbies which makes it a bit more humorous and fun. I feel like defending them because again, the videos not an accurate portrayal! And thanks for sticking around. Good seeing you :D

"you took the outside lane" actually fun fact, in the state of California, if there's only a single turn lane, or it's an all in one lane, but it turns left into multiple lanes, you can LEGALLY go to whichever lane, you only have to turn into a specific lane if there are the same amount of turn lanes as there are lanes you're turning into, so in this scenario (as that map in beamng is based on the state of California), that turn was in fact mostly legal! the actually issue was them turning left on a red light, which is in fact still illegal

I have used BeamNG to train some more driving before getting my license and in progress of training on a real car. Its totally legit and gets some fundamentals right. I have used it to get some parking markers for it to become easier in RL. However parking in game is way harder then RL since FOV is limited, mirrors are not showing your car and even with a head tracker its harder to look around. Still, using beamNG for training is way more real then it looks. My instructor was sure I have driven a car before even if I had next to no experience in real life and never used manuals (yea, my driving license was done in a manual car so that I could legally drive manuals here in Russia). As well, beamNG gives you a better understanding of what the car can and can not do and how to understand you are close to the limit.
i was 16 and had my first wheel. i then took my driving test at 17, passed with just -5 points for wide turn all my freinds failed or got way more points now im 18 and fly in cars with my boys its so fun
