Dear Helen and Dave, we wanted to say a big thank you for all the videos you have posted. My partner Ben and I started watching your videos a few months ago after ordering our first ever caravan at the NEC show in Birmingham. Your videos have de-fuddled a lot of mystery for us and we love your lifestyle and attitude to life. We have followed many of your tips and hints and we collect our home on wheels on the 29th of this month. We have booked a few weekends away not far from where we live and have booked a week away in North Norfolk (Tranquil Parks) later in the summer. Keep the videos coming - we absolutely love them. Great video Dave, and great effort in getting the van spotless. Looks a great product. Flag looks great. Hope to see it out there one day. Enjoy your time ;))
Hi Dave and Helen, I watched the video regarding the hairdryer, its such a shame. I know what its like not being able to dry your hair. The Silky products look amazing and did the job of shining up the van. Thank you for sharing x Julie and Tony
Hi Julie & Tony, I’m sure we can find another hair drying solution 😊 Really impressed with Silky products, they’ve done a good job. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
I have caravaner for 30 plus years and have reached detailing for close to the same. There is nothing wrong with a pressure washer it all depends on how how powerful a setting you have and even more important is how close the pressure washer spray is to the caravan. If you hold it close to any paintwork and it can give you problems but step back no problem at all. I have used silky for years and the cream cleaner is amazing but autoglym do a caravan cleaner which is the best caravan cleaner I have ever used. I have tested many caravan cleaners and while Covid was at its height I put 6 different sealant on one side to see which was better over an 18 month period. Though my testing I tried to buy more silky products but was very limited on places to buy and quite expensive. I have a couple of products to test. It is my goal to find the best cleaner, polisher, pads and sealants to apply. I will let you know. Loving the videos James
Thanks James, Nothing against pressure washers, I have one and have had many over the years, just a personal preference on using the hose, less hassle, less noise and I'm always a lot drier at the end of it lol. Never tried many caravan cleaning products but the Auto Glyn sounds like it's worth a try. Thanks for watching. ATB, Dave & Helen.
Agree with NOT USING A PRESSURE WASHER. There is no benefit or need to over using a hose with shower setting on the spray gun as a pressure washer DOESN'T clean the caravan any better as vans only need a light rinse. . With some pressure washers you could wreck the caravan body and seals if you mistakenly set the pressure too high. Not worth the risk. No such mistakes with a hose with the spray gun set to shower. BTW Dave (and Helen) your caravan exterior looks amazing. Well done.
@@M..R.... Hi and thanks very much for watching and leaving a comment, completely agree ref: Pressure washer. Thank you for your feedback. ATB Dave & Helen 👍
Hi Dave, great quick review of Silky products, I'm going to have to have a good look at the brand as the quick search I did came back that they are a British brand (a big thumbs up for me). Their products you used are very similar to car detailing products that I'm using. The second product you used seemed to be a drying aid type of product, by that I mean spray onto a wet panel and wipe/dry the panel for a shine. You've definitely got my attention regarding cleaning and protecting caravans...right up my street.
Hi Paul, apologies for the delay in getting back to you, busy couple of days. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Silky products are great for the caravan, we’ve been really happy with them. See how you get on 👍 Helen & Dave

What a great flag! Will look out for it out and about. Haven't tried Silky but keep meaning to try it, doing battle just now with some stubborn black streaks so think I'll give it a go. Have a wonderful Easter and happy safe travels.
Thanks Dave... as always a really informative video, I enjoyed it... it's nice to see that you review products whilst actually using them... atb Dave and Jane 👍
Hi Dave & Jane, thanks very much for that. I do get offered quite a lot of stuff to review but turn most of it down on the basis that I would probably not use it or don't think it would be of interest to our viewers. I turned down a lovely Power Bank not that long ago because I didn't think I needed one and every TH-camr on the planet was reviewing them. Wish I had took it now, Helen could have plugged her hairdryer in it when we go off grid later in the year lol. Thanks for your continued support. ATB, Dave & Helen.
Hello there Dave & Helen, Must say it looks like a new van, so very good job done there Dave. It’s a great caravan full stop with a lovely interior 👍. It’s so annoying taking clean car and caravan out in bad weather isn’t it, but at least you’re well stocked up with products now. Enjoyed watching and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob & Gail, as always thank you! Yes, it’s like a new pin but we all know what’s going to happen. Looking forward to trying the waterless clean & shine on site, reckon that will soon clear the road muck.🤞 Thanks again, Helen & Dave 👍

I tried several products to remove all the grime and moss from the joins of our caravan and awning rail and I must say the Silky cream product fared the best of all so yes I'll try the other products in the range. I'm off outside now (between showers) armed with non-caustic traffic film remover to do the roof. :)
Hi Dave and Helen. Silky are great products. We've used the silky in the tub to get off the green round the lights and the sides. One tip we use a very soft baby's toothbrush it makes such a difference to the caravan. Great video, as usual 👌 Paul and Sarah
Hi Dave and Helen, Another great vlog, you could clearly see the shine difference with your shadow on the van, great job. I will have to stick to dry sparkle as our van is in storage with no access to water. You have answered my question regarding 12v vac for the van and blowing the fuse I need a plan b. The flag looks great, as for the t towel you can buy eyelets from camping shops to repair where tie down ropes go maybe an idea. Paul and Jo 👍
Hi Paul & Jo, thanks I’ve just found the eyelets you were talking about and will pick them up shortly. The 12V is deffo one to watch. Have you blown a fuse too? Thanks as always for leaving a comment. Cheers, Dave & Helen 👍
Hi, Glad we could have been some help. Yes we blew the van 10 amp fuse when trying a 12v car vac I thought maybe the power surge was too much fir the van but after your vlog I won't be using again. Thanks 👍
Even on video, the results are very obvious. The caravan looks really nice. You really do have a very nice caravan. I hope that these products can be shipped internationally as I too will likely have a need for them. Especially as I live right by the sea (Entrance to Tokyo Bay) and things get dirty very, very quickly. I'll check their homepage and places like Amazon after posting this. If over the next few months you revisit caravan security from the perspective of window locks, that would be great. Although it isn't necessary to go and purchase items simply to make a video or even go out of your way to make one. The reason why I ask is that when my caravan does arrive in Japan, as part of the MOT process, the windows must have a secondary device on them to prevent them opening further than a few centimetres whilst in transit. Otherwise, it will fail its MOT. The MOT here is strict, but very, very stupidly and weirdly, they don't check the coupler or the towbar on the car! Which is obviously the most important part! Anyway... There is no rush whatsoever, but if you are genuinely thinking of adding window locks or someone contacts you and ask you review their products, please know that there is someone interested in such a video.
Hi there Andrew, many thanks indeed for watching and your kind comments. I have links to these products in the description from Amazon. Interesting reference regarding Japanese MOT requirements.
