Things being 2x and 3x more expensive is really a norm here and yes, some local products (just like food) are not even that good at all even when expensive. It is something that needs to be told right away, critiziced and improved. Cheers!
My impression is something thing like housing were lower cost but coffee and supermarket food was higher. My Uber Driver said cars are expensive. My host told me anything that’s important and includes labor is what makes the difference.
Hola !
Nice video! What was the espresso like at La Farmacia? Was it a more traditional dark roast, or was it more of a modern style? Did you order any food there?
Thanks! It's hard to remember and honestly I don't know the differences in espresso types, but it's a cool place. No food, just coffee. Let me know if you go your impressions.
Does it have a suburbia? - I want to stay somewhere with minimal air pollution - but I can just Uber in for shopping - dont mind a 30 min trip if I can get some fresh air.

Hey Ryan, at 7:30, Palacio Salvo, en Montevideo. 18 de Julio entre Andes y la Plaza Independencia.
Yo, awesome thanks
My friend that was a nice video. What was the surprising reasons behind Uruguay”s high costs ?
High taxes on imports
In some things Uruguay is the most expensive in the world, good for the owners of the business !
True, good point, or good for the Government, I assume they get the difference?
Cool video, amigo :) Where did you get your camera? I want one!
It's a DJI Pocket 2, having a few problems with it to be honest

So what is the reason? You didnt answer the question
My Airbnb host said it’s because of high taxes on imports + higher salaries than their neighbors
