Yes. I skipped Tweety’s High Flying Adventure. Haven’t been able to find much usable footage in English or that isn’t a song. It’s the same voice from Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, though.
Joe Alaskey's has a little more personality than the others who've done the voice; I think it helped that he had a whole TV show to hone it (along with Sylvester).
It's interesting to see voice actors change and evolve the character, in my country characters like the Looney Tunes, or Disney characters rarely ever change voice actors. Tweety and Sylvester have had the same ones since the 90's.
Anyone remember how in the 90's, you couldn't escape merchandise of Tweety specifically marketed to girls down to the fact they dressed him up as one on occasion? Clearly, that popularity was why they had the Mysteries cartoon. But for a while there was just so much Taz, Tweety, and Marvin the Martian stuff out there. I think 90% of my T-shirts I wore back then were Taz related.
0:43 It's 1944 not 1994 since The Old Grey Hare released in 1944 and part of pre-1948 Warner Bros. Cartoons library currently distributed by Turner Entertainment Co., with Warner Bros. still handling distribution.
I'm going to try something different and rank each Tweety voice individually. 1. Mel - can't beat the original. 2. Jeff - a great recreation. 3. Bob - very good as well. 4. Bauza - good, but I feel like he'll be even better if they pitch him up a notch or two. 5. Joe - same as the last one. A little low for Tweety, but still solid. 6. Greg - good for a cameo. 7. Billy - decent. 8. Goldberg - perfectly serviceable. 9. Sam - fine for a baby Tweety. 10. Tom - weird how they had him do a vampire voice, when I'm sure he could do a traditional Tweety take just fine. Also, I think Chris Phillips would work pretty well too.
great video dave i cant believe how the sounded nearly the same over 78 years those guys did a really good job, but you still cant beat mel blance, he always be one of my favorite all-time voice actors as he did so many of the classic looney tunes characters and one of my favorite cartoons growing up in the 80's and didnt release that i was watching cartoons from the 40's, same with tom and jerry, i find it fascinating how far these legendary characters go back
0:00 - Intro 1:57 - Mel Blanc 5:50 - Jeff Bergman 6:12 - Bob Bergen 6:29 - Greg Burson 6:37 - Joe Alaskey 7:44 - Tom Kenny (as Vampire Tweety) 7:51 - Eric Goldberg 7:58 - Samuel Vincent 8:17 - Billy West 8:32 - Bob Bergen (again) 8:50 - Jeff Bergman (again) 9:12 - Bob Bergen (again)
I think Vincent’s voice is the only one other than Blanc’s that actually sounds like a baby bird. Most of the other voices just sound too similar to other characters.
As with just about any Looney Tunes voice, I still consider Mel Blanc’s version the best. Of course, it did require some speed manipulation to pull off, but Mel had such good comedic timing with this and his other Looney Tunes roles that it’s hard not to enjoy. Of the post-Blanc voices, the ones that sound the closest are Bergen, Bauza, and Burson. The problem with most of the other voices is that they just sound too old for Tweety, probably due to a lack of proper speed manipulation. Alaskey’s voice especially suffers from lack of proper speed manipulation, as his voice sounds basically like Bugs talking with Tweety’s speech. Probably my last favorite is Goldberg; he tried his best and at least in Back in Action it sounds like they properly sped it up, but he has more lines in Superior Duck and you can tell that it’s quite off there. Usually I don’t like to talk about the younger voices because it just doesn’t make much sense to rank them against an older version of the character, but I think Sam Vincent does deserve some credit for actually managing to sound closer to the original Tweety than the ones that tend to sound too old. My ranking (excluding Vincent. Also excluding Kenny since his version wasn’t so much “Tweety” as “Tweety turned into a vampire”): 1. Mel Blanc 2. Bob Bergen 3. Eric Bauza 4. Greg Burson 5. Jeff Bergman 6. Billy West 7. Joe Alaskey 8. Eric Goldberg
I suppose he does capture the childish tone a bit better on The Looney Tunes Show than he did on Tiny Toon Adventures, but it still sounds like Tweety is too old there (then again, they did have that episode where he met Granny back in World War II, so I suppose that makes sense).
It was first done in A Tale of Two Kitties. Later it was done again in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I even remember that they referenced that in The Wild Wild West where this southern blonde woman did that to James West except she used her foot on his fingers.
Let's name favorite Looney Tunes voice actors after Mel Blanc's death. Here are mine: Joe Alaskey, Jeff Bergman, Greg Burson, Bog Bergen, and Billy West (as Elmer Fudd). What are y'all's?
Hi @DavidLeeDownUnder would it by any chance be possible if you could do a one full video on every character that mel blanc voiced throughout his years because I'm doin a project for myself on mel where I need all his characters however when I find hardly Scratches the surface
Man, there's a reason they called Mel the "Man of a Thousand Voices" ... I'm afraid it would take a LONG time to put together a comprehensive video of every single voice he ever did. Your best resource will be his page on IMDb.
I saw on jb’s website they’ll have the 4K’s for Star Wars 1-7 and Rogue one. Will you pick them up here in Australia like you did with the Pixar ones to save a lot of money?
It's funny. Here in Italy he has always been dubbed by a woman, giving him an even more cuter voice. In fact, the misunderstanding of his gender is even bigger here in Italy, to the point that the majority think he's female.
Actually, I think I watched a video once of one of the looney toons voice actors, and he said that they actually don’t know what’s tweety’s gender. I guess everyone assumed he’s male because he was only voiced by men
I don't remember if I've asked this on another video, but would you ever consider looking into Eastern cartoon shows? The evolution of something like, Dragon Ball could be very interesting. Granted That series isn't as old as the other toons, but a lot has happened in 30 years!
I’ve been asked a lot. It’s something I might consider eventually, but nothing I have much knowledge in. Unsure about shows like Dragon Ball or Pokémon, but Astro Boy is almost a given at some point.
Small labelling error at 6:05 - this is the Earth Day Special, not Carrotblanca. Voice actor for the special should also be Jeff Bergman.
Also, that voice actor in the Earth Day Special (1990) belong to Jeff Bergman, not Bob Bergen.
Where is voice of Sylvester?
Yes. I skipped Tweety’s High Flying Adventure. Haven’t been able to find much usable footage in English or that isn’t a song. It’s the same voice from Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, though.
Sylvester is coming. Please be patient and grateful I’m even doing these.
YES HECK YEEEA
My favorite Tweety voice actors....
Mel Blanc
Jeff Bergman
Joe Alaskey
Greg Burson
Aww the poor kitty cat! He fall down ‘n’ go
*BOOOOOOM*

Can’t wait for the Sylvester Voice Evolution
Now I’m a cartoon fan and if there’s anything I love it’s random voice changes and 2:24 has gotten me like no other

Thank you for making a voice evolution of Tweety! The voice of Sylvester will be created couple days!
R.I.P.
Mel Blanc and Joe Alaskey.
Blanc died in 1989 and Alaskey died in 2016.
Thats some incredible talent to take over after his inception! Mel, you can rest well! These actors have u covered!!!
9:36 Eric Bauza’s Tweety voice is deep!
It's sped up in post-production
That's because it hasn't been pitched up
Amazing video Dave, love these evolution videos. Can't wait for Sylvester voice evolution!

Remember it very well! One of my fave shirts as a kid was a glow in the dark Marvin the Martian tee!!
I forgot how savage tweety can be XD
Mel Blanc is one of the best voice actors
2:08, 5:38
Originally referenced in Disney's 1988 film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Uh oh! I went out of pittys! - Tweety (Mel Blanc)

Mel Blanc's son Noel also did voice work for Looney Toons. After Mel's car accident in 1961, Noel stepped in to do some recordings for his father.

Porky: N-nice v-voice acting Twe-Tweety.
Tweety: Tank you!
Tweety is my favorite character
Tweetys voice sounds so sweet.
And looks cool.
Tweety is cool.
The winner is Mel Blanc, Because Nothing beats the original.
And Eric Bauza, Did good as Tweety as well.
Tweety is the prime of example of knocking it out of the park on the first try
Now it is hard to believe that Mel blanc done all these characters but guess that is legend of Mel Blanc.
I feel like Billy got the closest to sounding like Mel’s Tweety.
Great Video Keep Up The Work
Sylvester's voice comparison is next. BET!
6:04 I don't remember live action in the Carrotsblanca short. Was that an error or a deleted scene?
Error, that's the Earth Day Special
Out of all the voice actors for Tweety Mel Blanc is the best!
Bob Bergen is still voicing Tweety Bird
Tweety is so cute🐥 ❤

I have a good feeling the reason why Tom Kenny didn't do Tweety's normal voice is because it would sound too much like SpongeBob.
