When you guys were talking about laughter and your family dynamic with using humor to get through even bad situations reminded me of when I was caring for my dad before he passed and the hospice nurse that would visit twice a week to check in on us. After he passed she called me and shared with me what a joy it was to work with us because no matter how bad he got or stressed and tired I was, we always were laughing at each other and cracking jokes at the most inappropriate times. The nurse said it’s rare and that she loved the special relationship we had using humor to get through it

Nothing was going right, I dropped and stepped on my blueberries I was going to have with breakfast. Just a terrible mood. I put your Podcast on, and something Joe said made me laugh and I immediately felt the tension start to leave my body. Not 10 minutes later did my cat make me spill my coffee all over myself and the couch, but at that point I was chill and just cleaned it up, no fuss. Great chat today gentlemen.

She passed 21 years ago and since then I have come into some health issues that have been real tough, but I face it ALL with humour and laughter, just like my nan did. I feel that is the greatest trait I got from her. I use my humour in all places in life, nothing like going for an invasive and embarrassing medical procedure and saying to the dr before hand “your not gonna buy me dinner first?” To lighten the mood..lol. I feel like Joey should have been cast as Ken. Just me?…
When I was younger my dad said when you hit 30 something you won’t listen to “current” music anymore. I thought no way! But yeah pretty much stopped listening to “radio” music around 30-35. Got the same old 90’s playlist.

I think music is really about nostalgia, especially when you're young the music you heard at school, from memories. It brings you back to good times!

The stories about their families, parents/grandparents are the best. Everyone had that grandfather that was a little too rough. You loved being around them cause they were fun, but there was that little bit of fear and trepidation lol. I had two sisters so I got all the headlocks, noogies, and knee pinches, while they got a kiss on the cheek lol. I digress..
We had the “where do I come from” book too lol. I’ll never forget that bathtub illustration 😬. Not for children eyes lol.
    Ahh the 80s.

Love that you guys brought up the “where do I come from” book, some relative gave it to me and my mom hid it, of course we found it and it scared the crap out of my brother and I.

I was born in 1980. I have told my children who each of you are and they don’t even care. You are all my people and I feel the joy of seeing you guys on tv in my childhood when I listen to you on this podcast. I’m so glad I can watch it so I can make sure for sure who is actually talking. Like my favorite blanket as a child or a bowl of soup my mom would make me as a kid when I was sick. That’s how I feel when I get to listen to or watch this podcast. 😊
