I have about 10 bags of soft plastics in my back pack. To save on weight, I decided to mix my colors of the baits. For example in my stick bait bag, I have 3 each of 4 colors. Same for craws, bugs, and swim baits. Lightens my load significantly, especially when I’m only out for an hour or two at a time.
Haha too funny "shopping" in your own tackle room. I'm not sure how many bags of soft plastics I take when I go bank fishing but I think it is similar to how many soft plastics you chose, I'll count next time. Great video as always, really liked hearing how you condensed 60,000 bags of soft plastics into 27 for bank fishing. 👍👍👍👍

I usually take more than I need with me. Take a small bag with essentials and go back to the truck for any changes. I take too much with me. I need to pick 3-4 and just use them to get familiar and build confidence in them. Another reason I should take less is I am usually limited on time. I am an after work till dark fisherman. You did cover pretty much all the bases. Good video, Jim👍👍

If I had to add one thing it would be the Zman Bang Stickz. For a pond kit you can save some space using these as you can cut them in half for neds or use them full length for stick baits and shaky heads. Pretty good series Jim and I think you would have everything you could need for a good day on the water.

A boot tail is the one the best chatter bait trailers if you put the boot tail on up siide down with the tail sticking up. works for me like a champ in waters around my way ( NC).

The EDGE Boxes are so much better than the Bass Mafia boxes. The BM boxes are always, always popping open when I hit rough water. EDGE for me.
The soft plastic shopping with GoPro was like a VR shopping trip.
On the dye do you get garlic or unscented. If you could make a video going over treble hooks that would be awesome. Like explaining sizes, bends,shanks,feathers,sizes for different lures,feathers,etc. That would be awesome since I haven’t really seen anyone go over treble hooks.

Another great video, I would compare this to when I get out in the Kayak fishing but I pack less as it forces me to fish with focus. Swimbait, crawfish bait and a senko or worm. 🎣👊👍
Hey TJ: Those are 27 great choices. As for me out kayak bassin' in weeds, I focus on Texas-rigged 5" Senkos and 3.8" swimbaits for searching.

Those are some solid picks Jim! The VileBug is definitely one of my favorites and hard to argue agains the Rage Craw, best craw around. I like fishing it on a keel weighted swim bait hook.

This is kinda how I try to pack my bag for bank fishing or when I'm going on someone else's boat. I need to upgrade the backpack to an actual Plano bag or something to fit more than 2 plano's and a few bags of plastic.

I carry a large kvd speed bag and one 3600 size hardbait box. As well as a smaller box for terminal tackle. So about the same amount of soft plastics as you had here 🤙🏼👊🏻

Love these series great info for beginners and everyone in between 👍 As for baits I would definitely have some of those lakefork stick baits for sure a beaver style and craw style along with a curly tail worm and swimbait. My color options would be Green pumpkin black N blue and blue craw or magic craw.

I don’t generally carry the same color soft plastics and most of the time not the same brands of them. I just buy two toned colored ones that are simple and work effectively. A worm,chunk,swimbait,craw,creature,and a Ned style baits is all I ever carry. I haven’t honed in on any that I really use as a good overall plastic besides the eeliminator and the krackin craw. My plan is to use them until I run out and then decide if it’s worth looking into other brands and styles of them. Right now I would have to say the keitech swimming impact regular size isn’t worth getting because it’s so small they really only add action and don’t have much bulk and they tear in half very easily because they are so thin.
Good stuff. Love the edge boxes. Got terminal box jig chatterbait box and small crankbait box. They work perfect.

Love the explinations for why you chose each one. I learned alot. Btw, the Red Shad ribbon tail is the color I caught my pb on.
Also to add, I pack extremely light when I go out fishing, so I usually only take 2 or 3 packs of soft plastics with me. I dont like carrying a lot of tackle, I would get overwhelmed with choices, so I choose one specific method for the day and just carrying the corresponding tackle. I usually carry my crappie jigs and pole and then a pole for bass fishing.

I'd say I usually pack around 25 packs of soft plastics on average. I use to carry a whole lot more but I've been trying to scale back how much I carry. Nowadays I generally try to bring no more than 5 varieties for each type of plastic I plan on fishing that day. Five drop shot options, five for ned, five swimbait, five craws, five stick baits, and then maybe five miscellaneous baits for trailer options or that "something different" like a pack of tubes, lizards, curl tail grubs, frogs.

I do my baits by technique. I have a bag for my worms swim and jerkbaits Ned Rig Tubes and Craws and Creatures. Then in the portable center console for my kayak I have my senkos and then my milk crate with my tackle trays
