This video is about different types of mechanical seal based on its design. It covers about Balanced and Unbalanced seal, Pusher and Non-pusher type of seal. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
By mistake, I have explained that stuffing box liquid, when come out will condense. Actually vapor condenses. Stuffing box liquid will freeze and solidify in front of O-ring.
I have some questions about that part. You meant that the liquid will freeze and solidify once it goes through the two faces (static and rotary one) but I think that is only possible if the fluid that is going through the pump is colder than the stuffing box liquid right? Imagine that the fluid that is going through the pump is at an higher temperature than the liquid in the stuffing box and that the liquid in the stuffing box is being refrigerated. What would you say that is the cause for the freezing of that liquid when it leaves the stuffing box? Anything that you can tell me about these scenarios would be helpful! How could I detect that this is happening for instance. It is possible to happen if the pump is turned off ? Thank you in advance!
