После исполнения этой песни, Димаш проснулся знаменитым в Китае. 600 000 000 просмотров, если я правильно понял, на Weibo. Как я понял это китайский youtube или instagram не знаю. Ему тут же предоставили охрану. Он занял 2-место на этом конкурсе. Китайцы по достойнству оценили талант Димаша. А остальной "избалованный" мир не может этого сделать до сих пор. Если собрать все видеопросмотры на youtube, 600 000 000 не наберется наверное. Интересно почему так?

PS. Actually, he didn't win the Singer 2017. He was the runner-up which in fact was a win for him, being an outsider and the youngest competitor ever.

I wouldn't say he always goes from low to high. Not all his songs have a wide range. He sings in a way appropriate to the meaning of each and every song. Of course, in a contest against great professional singers he showcases his range more than usual. But except for his technical perfection, no matter in which range and style he sings, his main thing is that he truly lives through each song and delivers it with such emotion that he touches the hearts of millions. We love him as an artist and as a person as well. He is the best vocalist in the world and a wonderful, humble, charitable kind and sweet person.

He is the best singer in the world and because he is the loveliest young man and a perfect performer, he is well loved and adored by his Dears, we are always told by reactors too about being the most loyal, respectful and dedicated fans, that’s because of the love Dimash gives out to us and his songs, thru emotion and respect, we give back to him. He loves his Dears, he gets involved with his Dears, he is so humble and grateful, that we all love him so much. No one will ever get near to his talents, he also does so much for charities and is not seeking absolute fame because he refuses to be signed by a record label, he wants to be in control of his music, he doesn’t need to be signed, he is being recognised in the west thanks to you tube and reactors

This was the first time the audience and his competitors had heard him sing....His competitors are all well known professional entertainers....the 500 member audience are the judges, they cast their votes after the show....I enjoyed watching Dimash with you.....

This is a contest of professionals and established singers of China and other nearby countries, not like any talent hunting show. All the contestants are famous well-known performers and Dimash was invited as wildcard and was the youngest(21/22 years old) and unknown in China, so they are at awe but they all became friends gradually and helped him to make his stay in China comfortable. As it is a 14 episodes show took 4 months and Dimash couldn't speak Chinese (Mandarin), the Chinese audience adore Dimash and call him "Imported little brother" and are the biggest fan base of Dimash till date even when they can't access TH-cam or Instagram, they have their own Weibo and other similar apps. Dimash gained millions of fans after this first episode and more than600M views after first telecast😊.
Not only China and Taiwan...there's also Chinese singers from Malaysia, Canada, Hong Kong.....Sandy Lam (winner of Singer 2017 is from Hong Kong)...the man who's face showed disbelieve, Michael Wong...who's wearing a suit with black turtleneck and wore glasses....he's from Malaysia...the oldest contestant in Singer 2017, Teresa Carpio is a Filipino Hong Kee (from Hong Kong) who has migrated to Canada.

I was so happy when I found the episodes and got to watch them. Those other singers were no push overs. Even they realized that Dimash was like a new dawn in singing.
He made it up the top three (finalists) then came in second. There was at the time a lot of talk about whether there was internal manipulation, but Dimash puts it all down to :”Regardless of the ranking, I have won millions of fans. I’m most grateful for that.” The show was a contest for established singers. Suppose you had The Beatles competing with Louis Armstrong, Celine Dion and BTS (never mind the times being different), and then you throw Dimash into the mix. The audience of 500 had three votes each. That’s the kind of situation he was in.

To think that you've just scratched the surface when it comes to Dimash's vocal abilities! You haven't heard anything near to his highest or lowest notes in his range!!!
Yes his higher registers are absolutely beautiful but his lower octaves wraps you in warmth and comfort! No one does runs and rifts quite like Dimash! I like how he adds the Middle Eastern flair in his songs and his accent is just so cute! We are so blessed to be listening to his music!

When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤

This is the "I am Singer" contest in China, but not like Voice etc. Only famous, established singers are allowed to participate by invitation. It stands at a high artistic and musical level and lasts 4 months. Dimash was invited as a wild card, the only foreigner, the youngest in the history of the competition. He opened the whole set because he was unknown, other competitors heard him for the first time (you saw their reactions, they were shocked). After this performance, it became a nighttime sensation in China, in one day the song had 600 million views. It was in 2017. Now Dimash is huge in China, loved and respected. The world got to know him through this competition. He was recognized by specialists around the world as the best singer of our time. He sings in 12 languages and plays many instruments. She sings all genres of music and is a wonderful humble person. Dimash has a lot of songs on his channel. He has been very busy since then. His first album, ID, went platinum in 37 seconds, triple platinum in an hour, and five times platinum in day one. He has already had many sold out huge concerts in China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, London as well as New York in December 2019 (Barclay Center). His European Arnau tour was has been interrupted by covid 19. This contest was in 2017. All songs are gems, worth seeing for you. Thank you for your reaction! As others have suggested, the next one should be Sinful Passion, but please do the Moscow version, it is the best!
And unfortunately, he did not win the show, we suspect because a Chinese person had to win. He came in close second, but this show made him known to the world, and from there, he has become world famous, so for Dimash, it was a huge win! The more you will listen to him, the more you will be impressed; any genre, any range, so much softness and so much power, one never stops being blown away by his talent!
For a mind blowing vocal range experience check out his "popera" piece, "Olimpico," sometimes referred to as "Ogni Pietra." You also need to see the song he performed on the sixth week of the The Singer competition, "Adagio," which many feel is his most spectacular performance of all.

This show was made as a sort of singing competition for well-known Chinese artist and usually as a "warmup" they invite unknown foreign talent to go on as the first act to get the audience hyped and ready for the upcoming Chinese singers to come on later.... What they didn't count on, in this case, was that Dimash is, well... Dimash, and completely blew everyone away... Almost all the reactions they show are from the other "known" Chinese contestants and it's priceless watching their reactions to Dimash setting the bar higher than any of them would be able to reach... Even with him singing in French, and doubtful that anyone understood what he was singing, they still all knew that what they heard was true perfection.
There have been hundreds of performers of this song since 1976, but not one has any vocal data to perform it like Dimash did!
Maestro Michel Berger, for sure, would have been happy if it was such a performer who would have come to him for an audition - all the notes were effortlessly taken, and how much strength and tenderness in this performance, what actor’s presentation of each line exactly according to the content of the song.

So another great one is Sinful Passion.
You can also see his performance of S.O.S at the Slavic Bazaar in 2018 which is his best performance of the song yet, even better than this one.
Other great ones are Adagio for the Singer Competition, Show Must Go On for the Singer Competition, and he also had a few music videos I would check out Across Endless Dimensions first.

Opera 2 is a stunt -- this one, and Sinful Passion, are both fabulous as musical performances AND as unmatched virtuosity. One of my favorite Dimash moments is in SOS when, having established the "plus beau vu d'en haut" line as light falsetto colortura throughout, he comes back and blows it away in full rocker belt, on those same crazy high pitches...
LOL Every time I watch Dimash--whether it be a song, an interview, a compilation of clips of him being insanely nice to children and the elderly--I wonder what I'm doing with my life.

Sadly and due to politics he came in second. A foreigner had never won this show before, let alone the youngest contestant they had ever had. There was blow back and the following year Jessie J did win. However, Dimash came in second and it launched him world wide so all turned out very well for him.

That's not true. Dimash didn't win not because of the politics.. Coco Lee (American) won the singer before Dimash and Jessie J won the singer after Dimash. Dimash lost because he didn't get the highest score... His MJ tribute performance on the semi final was not as strong as his other songs
@@mcan9074 I have to agree. The woman that did win the Competition certainly earned it. I personally would have picked Dimash, but I cannot blame anyone for voting for her. She was incredible and the finals was not the best Performance by Dimash, even though it was better than nearly anyone else could do.

This video is from 2017 (22 years old), seeing its evolution is amazing. He is a human being with a natural gift, who has studied (piano and singing) since he was 5 years old to develop it and who works every day on him ... to make his dream come true as he has expressed.
He is singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist (piano, drums, dombra, xylophone, guitar).
Both parents (Kanat and Svetlana) are renowned musicians in their country with a broad musical career, which they have put aside to support their son. Dimahs a younger sister and brother (Raushan and Abilmansur).
EDUCATION: Kudaibergen completed a Broadway Musical master class in 2009. In 2014 he graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the music institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe. He began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music.
