He says, “here’s your great manual!” I don’t think he knows what a great manual is....I love my tower garden but it’s like traveling down a rabbit hole to get the information you need. They’ll give you one simple sentence to explain a complicated subject. Or they fail to tell you things that can make or break your experience. I set my tower garden up last year & my veggies took off! Then they suddenly they died. When I was removing the plants I saw the insides were full of mold. Everything had to be taken apart piece by piece & I spent so much time & money I was deflated. Had they just told you to make sure to have a fan blowing to prevent this, it would have changed everything. I’m in the process of setting it back up again & I just realized I wasn’t putting the correct amount of fertilizer in it either. For what you pay for this, there should be a simple DETAILED manual so that when you take it out of the box, you could sit down & read actual directions instead of struggling with every detail. Now I know to watch people who are making their own videos but sometimes they don’t help much either. A man must have designed the manual.... they don’t like getting directions or giving them...
Sounds like you could make your own video and highlight what you've learned thru the school of hard knocks. I've done such a thing when directing people on their first audiobook narration! :)
Your sexist comments are unnecessary. You really must have an IQ if a wet cabbage to not be able to figure out a tower garden. What’s the issue? If your plants die it’s not the TG issue it’s a you issue. I’ve had mine for years and nothing ever dies. What rabbit hole?? Everything you need is in the manual to assemble it. TG had their own videos to help. What’s the problem?? Get some rest, eat more fat and protein, and see if your brain can manage what’s essentially Lego for adults.

I couldn’t agree more. I ordered my Tower Garden from this guy’s franchise, and I had the same observations about the manual. It’s nearly worthless, especially when it comes to topics such as managing the tonic solution, maintenance, planting, and harvesting. Some Juice Plus franchises sell an ebook entitled, “Getting the Most Out of Your Aeroponic Tower.” At $29.00, it’s quite expensive, and I don’t know if it’s worth the money. But the promotional pitch reads, “Your tower came with an instruction manual that gives comprehensive information to grow most crops, however, through trial and error, we have found better ways or different ways to handle quite a few different (kinds of) produce." It may be worth a quick search to investigate whether it has merit. Good luck with your TG system!
I have to say, I’ve purchased and assembled many complex products over my lifetime and the instruction manual that came with my Tower Garden is perhaps one of the most unfit for purpose pieces of literature I’ve ever come across, really frustrating. Thank you for making this video.

I bought mine used and had to dismantle it. The whole A and B hole and the fact that there are a bunch of other holes that apparently dont get used confuses me, and I can assemble IKEA no problem! I get to the top peice and the holes I need to make it click together are wrong...ARGHHHHHHH

The hardest part of the assembly is not shown in this video! The gasket that is supposed to go around the pump cord and through the slot in the bottom of the barrel is too small for the cord and is too big for the slot. I have been trying for a couple of hours, very frustrated with this whole ordeal. Also, not shown in this video is how to hook up the float, the person just drop it into the barrel without saying anything about it.
It’s like traveling down a rabbit hole to get the information you need. The manual is a joke!

I am undecided if I want the flex or home. Only true advantage of flex so far for me is the flat surface if I decide to try small cucumbers , I wont be taking it outside, YOur thoughts on that please
Oh and just so you know. The parts for both the Flex and Home are interchangeable. If you get a Flex and decide you want a Home, just call and order the Home bucket and lid and you will have a home system. The lights, gate, sections ect... fit both units

Hi, did you say the water pump on "Indoor" will cycle 5 mins on and 45 mins off? I have an older timer for indoor flex and have it at 15 mins on 45 mins off. Is that necessary. Is the 5 mins on adequate? And is the 5 mins on/45 off cycle continuous for 24 hours? No change for night time?
The new digital timers were tested, and the new timed settings are the perfect watering cycle for the Tower Garden. Indoor setting is 5 minutes on & 45 minutes off. The old grey tork timers only have 15 minute intervals so you will need to set it to 15 on & 45 off. Outdoor settings for the digital timer is 3 minutes on & 12 minutes off. With the grey timer it's 15 & 15. The timer & pump run 24 hours a day.
you didn't finish talking about the pump that you placed inside the tower base - where and how does it plug in? is it submersible?
Yes, the pump is submersible and is placed on the bottom of the Tower using suction cups (included)

I have an older Flex system. The base (bucket and cover) needs to be replaced. Is it possible to replace it with the Home system base? And use the Flex sections, pump etc... that I have for the flex?

Can you explain to us the duration of watering, is it continuous or intermittent at intervals?
We use a digital timer to control the pump. For Indoor setting it's 5 minutes on & 45 minutes off. For outdoor settings it's 3 minutes on and 12 minutes off.

Watched and assembled yet by the time I get to the micro greens bins I am not able to get them to align up like this guy does on the video! I have checked and rechecked the sections of the towers which are on correctly, yet when it comes to the last two micro green tops…I am going crazy!!! Any suggestions? Thank you

The Mineral Blend costs $69 for gallon jugs. You add Minerals each time you add water. The nutrients will last about a year when growing in doors and 6-8 months when growing outdoors.
why are there so many small holes in the flat face of each section if you are only using 2 of the holes?
I believe that is for the water to trickle down to the other plant roots and back into the reserve

Have you ever heard of the GT Silencer? It is sold by Level2 Concepts LLC? It appears to be a round filter that fits into the sections that majorly dampens the trickling water sound. For me it would be a game changer. I would like to have my Home system in my kitchen vs basement. Your thoughts appreciated
We are not familiar with this product. When the Tower is empty or filled with new seedlings the sound is louder but as your plants grow, the sound will lessen.
If you are using outdoors where are you going to plug in at? Please add a solar pump.

Well I didn't get a manual with my Tower Garden and I am following along with you, so far so good except I have no clue what to do with the float, how does it install? I only saw you drop it inside after you installed the pump hose. Anyone???
You can call Tower Garden customer care to request a manual. 866-235-0414. The float stick is inserted through the hole, then screw the float ball onto the stick. Do this before you fill.

It’s not as important as you think
Simple chemistry:
Add fresh lemon juice to the water to lower the pH (give the water more acidity) or add bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) to increase the pH (make it more alkaline). It takes very little of each, so do a little each day and measure.
Hey there. Initially, add your nutrient at a pH of 5.0. This way, over time, your nutrient will go up, but the plant will have access to a lot more elements as the pH slowly creeps up. Hope this helps. Have fun!

When you add on extension units do the optional led lights need to be augmented?
The only opening in the base is where you snap in the plastic logo. It is not clear how the cords come to the outside of the base?

There are a variety of holes. There are ones to place your plants in and the ones that allow the water to flow through. Finally, there are holes to place the rods into.

The first stage is attached with screws, something not shown. Also, does the extension rod get a washer put under it before you screw it ti the first rod?
The first step is not shown because all Residential units have the first grow pot attached to the reservoir lid and should never be removed. No a washer is not needed with the extension kit until you add one at the top in the shower cap lid before you add the wingnut.
