Hello, just a quick note tanks when looking at the financial statements. These business's are often held by holding companies which will charge there smaller companies licensing fees to bring profits to zero to avoid paying tax. Thats why the creditors can look mad. which can be seen on companies house if you go to persons then Imran ahmed you can see he owns multiple ventures like crep protect and several holding companies. The only way to see the true position of a company is to see the profit or loss but because this company does not publicly issues shares we wont be able to see that. I do believe the business model is dying. But as someone who has been in the accounting game a while, accountants with a bit of creativity can make these statements show whatever they want them to.
Have you noticed that UK producers don't bother targeting UK Grime or Hiphop rappers all they want to make is American Trap because thats the beats that have the most potential buyers. There are thousends of American Trap rappers looking for Trap beats, but who's asking any of those UK producers to make beats or produce for UK rappers?
Not sure how its like in the UK but in the USA we got consoldated taxes and people can easily bring their profits to zero with tax write offs and the fees strategy, sep ira, etc. But Ive never heard of one person owning multiple parent companies, maybe its a different structure they are using. Could be a subsidiary that owns another subsidiary?
Don’t wanna be that guy but you calling Dean Forbes the richest black man in the UK who has a net worth of £40 million (unless it’s increased) just shows how shallow we are as a community. We consume so much entertainment that we don’t even bother to see black men that have excelled but are not in the entertainment world. Yes Dean isn’t an entertainer, but he was introduced to us by the entertainment platforms. Ismail Ahmed (founder of WorldRemit) is richer, Mo Ibrahim, Strive Masiyiwa and many more. Please black people stop being so shallow and consumed by this media, other races are leaving us behind
Drill music has played its course. Urban music in the UK used to innovate rapidly back in the day (jungle>dnb>garage>grime>dubstep etc) but we hit a dead end with drill music.
Yeah they expected Drill to do what Grime did after Garage. But it didn't. There are still ALOT of rappers and musicians but these channels are gate keepers now. Back on the day they had anyone on there and people liked listening to the new talent. They killed it for themselves.
Really good insight for up and coming artist or anyone who would like to do things in the music industry now Im starting to see why some of the big channels are starting to have a stagnated progress for themselves and artist are moving away from them
You made good points in this. I think a lot of this decline is because of their business model of getting people to pay to be featured without realising they were also paying the price with their prestige and exclusivity. I don't see this happening to Lyrical Lemonade in the near future cus Cole Bennett is more curative with it.
@@degnur3442 Damn, that's pricey, didn't expect that figure. It sucks one gotta have label connection or a mutual to get in. Cheers for clarifying that for me 🤝🏾
I'm late but debtors are clients who owe you money and creditors are suppliers that you owe money. The balance sheet is a snapshot of the companies health showing your assets against liabilities
This is a throwback most people probably wont even remember or know but who remembers when grime daily had a video with Big H and bloodline going to a freemasons lodge😂was random as fuck, they deleted it years ago and never seen it since
I enjoyed this take and these videos. But what I would add is that these companies could get access to cash flow funding. So while there aren’t tangible assets to borrow against they could point to recurring cash flow and borrow against that. I imagine that’s where they could raise debt outside of just shareholder loans.
Debtors is people that owe money to the company (e.g. unpaid invoices as they're often paid in arrears), it's an asset, which is why it's in the current assets section. The money they owe to others is the creditors line
A few things Posty has done: * said he’s not a fan of conscious rap and openly stated he only wanted ignorant gangsta rap when driving his car etc * He invited giggs and young spray to rated awards knowing darn well they were members of Tottenham mandem and Peckham boys two gangs who have beef with each other. Ends with spray getting stabbed * He only promotes violent thug rap and rejected everyone who doesn’t p * Says he doesn’t take sides in beef and then bans Dot Rotten & Ironik from his website
10:09 Current assets - things that add value to the company or if sold could get the business cash //// Cash at bank and in hand - another asset (cash is king of assets ) Debtors - money that IS OWED “TO” THE BUSINESS (not a debt “out” but a debt due into the business… some one or some ones owe the business 1,052,213k These two added together give the 1786,573 figure which is money in hand and money on road that needs to be collected at some point. Hence why they are labelled current assets not current liabilities (debts) It’s not a debt as one would assume, Next if you look at the profit and loss account (below point 8) you can see they have a lot of retained profit 1.6m the business has a lot of cash held but a lot of cash tied up in “soon come” aka debtors Hope that helps
Sir you do know companies can dissolve their original names and then create new ones as parent companies. Your trading name doesn’t have to be the same as registered
My opinion is they are failing because they stopped doing what they started out doing which is breaking new talent. Now its who can pay for an upload. RIP Jamal Edwards he was the last one actually doing it for the culture not for a profit.
Nope its because selling products to the American market is the target, for selling beat packs, samples or full beats its all about Trap Type beats, and thats it. American Trap and Mumble raps worst artist sell more then UKs best artists mostly down to numbers there is simply a way bigger market targeting American as a UK producer.
Companies house isn’t the best to go off, everyone knows about setting up multiple accounts in different names and even under family members etc. it’s all about keeping the taxman away
Music is oversaturated too. There’s too many people creating with 0 spark. Anyone and their dog can go make a tune and then put it on all DSP’s. Then you add in those that have the financial funding to be platformed too. That oversaturates those platforms too. Gone are the days of artists coming from absolutely nothing.
More to do with Trap dominated UK producers, are not interested in working with UK artists or making UK beats, its all instead all about making American Trap type beats thats where the money is and where the potential record hit placements come from.
Grime Daily owes more in debt than what they earn. They're going to need to keep going for another 5 years before they clear that. That's if they don't go down beforehand. Limited companies are good because you can just dissolve them and the debt is gone.
Cos they mostly focus on 18-25 year olds that glorify hood/gang culture. They old riding the drill scene thinking it will never end. The UK music scene changes relatively fast, they should know that.
GrimDaily just got old, simple as that same as most of the Grime rappers I listened to over 15 years ago. Back in the Day Its was nothing about colour of skin however there was more black people doing Grime and more white people doing UK Hiphop, and there was next to no cross overs. Devlin and Chip two of the most successful Grime rappers are back now and nobody in the Grime world apears to care despite the two of them be leaders in Grime back in the day.
