P.S. Drowning in the water is written during his teenage years (14yrs old to be exact)

Pablo once mentioned that ALON (waves) was inspired by the stages of grief which is why it is leaning toward _"heavier"_ songs which is also why we tackle the feelings of hopelessness, depression, anxiety. It is like the waves/challenges of life.
While LAON (in time) is leaning towards a more chill vibe signifying that although we face the waves/challenges of life, in time it will be okay.
Breath was also created because according to Pablo, when he first listened to the songs in ALON album consecutively, it was such a heavy feeling for him so he made an outro as sort of a release and also a transition to the more positive vibe of the LAON album.
Looking forward to the next upload btw!

So he made a back to back album AlonXLaon because Alon is more on sad one and Laon is more on upbeat and positive one.

Pablo uploaded some clips on his Tiktok and other social media platforms about the story behind his albums and each track. You can check those videos too to get deeper understanding about the story line of ALON and LAON 🥰

He included Breathe as like a cleansing before you get on to the next album Laon because it's the opposite of Alon, him being hopeful, positive and grateful. I knew you'd have this kind of reaction knowing how you especially focus on the music/scoring/production, not just the singing and lyrics.

Listening to ALON really is an experience. You go through the sadness, anxiety, heartbreak, anger and pain with him. The outro is fit to played last on the album because with all that intense emotion, you'd definitely need a breather. It's like after being drowned and stuggling, Breathe is a reminder that in the end, we deserve to emerge from whatever is keeping us down

For me, ALL of his songs in the 2 albums are GOLD.
For Alon (pr. AH-Lohn) my top 3 are:
    1) Kumunoy
    2) Kelan
    3) Breathe

The songs in “Alon” are Pablo’s personal experiences. Drowning in the water, he wrote this at 14 years old after a heart break.

I used to play this ep on loop every morning but I remember my mom would tell me my music doesn't help add positivity to life 🤣 some sad songs are catchy you just can't get over it and that's Kumunoy for me. There's a little bit of happiness but I think that makes it all the more striking in the entirety of the song. As someone who feels so much and deeply, I don't think sadness is all that bad. It's just part of being human. Now I have his LAON ep as my morning playlist. Butata is a fave ❤

The Outro (Breathe) serves as a prelude to a more carefree album that is LAON.

Looking forward to your LAON reaction soon! That one is the opposite of ALON :)
I both love albums, whenever I wanna chill and feel good, I'll just listen LAON but when I'm feeling lost or just sad, I will listen to ALON and I get more sad LMAO especially when I listen to Kumunoy, it always makes me cry :( Pablo mentioned he wrote Kumunoy after they left Showbt when Stell was the only one who stayed but like in the song, the ending became positive, just like when they came back in the company! So glad they never gave up 😭
Drowning in the Water was written when he was just 14 years old and he admitted it makes him really cringe lololol but because A'tin kept bugging him to officially release it, he did! BECAUSE HE LOVES US AYIIEEE

Thanks for these RVs. Will be awaiting your reaction to his second album - LAON (in time). It's a contrast to ALON. If you're curious about each song, you might want to check out his BEHIND THE SONG: {song title} videos where he briefly talks about the sentiments behind the writing of each song. The videos are English captioned.
