@@Eidlones Tom Bombadil is a mirror that reveals the reader's true self. He is an enigma. A mystery Tolkien intentionally left behind in his tale for readers to mull over. I personally love the character, him and his wife Goldberry, but not every reader is fan.

They keep giving him these allegedly LotR or Tolkien trivia questions that have nothing to do with the actual content of the books.
By far the most disappointing LotR trivia question Stephen could have received.

I clicked on this because of the LOTR trivia, right away, not even knowing who the guest was and originally not caring. But hey, that's the guy from HQ Trivia, that was a nice surprise (I've played only a few times so the name didn't really stick but I always liked him).
That was a garbage question. I was really hoping someone would ask a real difficult Lord of the Rings question that involved the lore of Middle Earth. A question like, "How was the Middle Earth Universe created?" or "Who was the only person in Middle Earth History to ever steal back a Silmaril from Morgoth?" or "How many recorded marriages have there been between Men and Elves?" or "Why do Elves and Dwarves hate each other?"
These kinds of questions are GOOD questions to ask Stephen Colbert.
But those aren't hard! 1) The song of Iluvatar, followed by the wars of the creation of Arda to actually fulfill the vision once the Ainur descended. 2) Beren 3) 3. Beren x Luthien, Earendil x Elwing, Arwen x Aragorn, 4) a fairly petty dispute over a piece of jewelry according to the Hobbit, which was augmented according to the Silmarillion by confirming that jewel was a Silmaril.

I feel kind of bad because the tech is pretty awesome. You can have multiple people in a room playing it and they’ll all be synced up. The live answers, all of that is pretty impressive.
