Your Dad's place is a paradise. A big thank you to Papa for his commitment and passion for Environment. You definitely get your Dad's DNA for gardening and tree planting.
Your father's garden has an impressive variety of plant species . Also, it seems that it is not fenced off. So it is kind of a miracle that so much of it stays unharmed either from animal grazing or human pilferage.
Hi Sarah. Just subscribbed after chancing on your channel, and clicked like number 108. Great stuff you are showing from my home region. Keep up. Ugandan here watching from South Korea.
I never grew up on a farm my father was a town boy my mother was a town girl.i have found memories of visiting my aunt with his big flocks of laying hens of watching uncle milking his goats so this and similar events made me determine to some days have some farm animals of my own so when I came of age I started out with chicken soon followed ducks then rabbits after came dove's, i gleaned most of my knowledge on yah ppl Sarah the rest am learning as I experience in my day today activities. Much respect to ya'll. What a family ❤❤❤
Hat's off for you, not growing up with a farming family did not stop you so proud of you and I'm soo happy to have you here where we can learn from each other.
Adeke i think it's "kivunvu" in Luganda i love it when it's ripe and cooked i see where the passion comes from long live Dad the garden is neat and full
WOW! Sarah your dad's food forest is so nice and beautiful. You can see that a lot of thought was put into it to make it look very beautiful but also a source of food for the family. The mango tree has lots of flowers. I think it will have a lot of fruit. I love mangoes. In my childhood home, we have lots of mango trees. when it's the season, They bear plenty of fruit. we have to give them away because it is too much to eat. Now I see where you get your green thumb from. Its DAD..LOL🤣😂
Thank you soo much for this beautiful remarks, my dad gives a way the mangos too, they are a lot for only one family, thank you for making my dad smile, he read this.
Wow I love this,I just came across your Chanel and it is exciting to know that there's another itesot woman who loves plants like me, how can I get some cocoa plants ,i want some of them including coffee, am from serere Atiira , if you know please let me know 😊
Yeiii, I'm glad you found me, thank you for watching. I know Serere. I don't have any cocoa or coffee plant for sale now, I will get some seedlings for you and send to Soroti to my dad as I stay in Kampala. Kind regards
The plant you said you are not sure about, the one near to marigold belongs to Plumeria species. They produce , white, pink or red flowers depending on their genetic structure. The plants with multi coloured leaves are know as corotons. The one that you said you are not sure about, and is closer to young orange tree appears to be coroton zanzibar. The tree that produces feather like flowers (flowers similar to siris tree) with fragrant appears to be type of guava family, where you only eat fruit shell. It's also known as mapera marashi, which translates as perfumed guava but I'm quite sure until I see the fruit.
You are welcome. I guess the fruit is rose apple with large single seed . But when we were young we called it perfume guava and we would eat the flowers as well.
