@arron frederick yes it can I had a friend who had this same problem but he didn't live that long he was in life support for a week and they couldn't keep him on life support even though they said they can keep him on for 4 weeks

When you start throwing blood up due to alcoholism it really is the end of the road. I had a mate who was told he had cirrhosis, he carried on drinking and six months later he was dead. At the end of his life, he decided to go out for 'one last bender' (after being sober for a couple of months).He had a vomiting fit similar to Phil in this clip and died a week later in hospital.
I think in reality Phil Mitchell would've died years ago. He was knocking back spirits by the litre in 1996
Even after this, he continued drinking more. lol

neil73 sorry to hear that, I have a friend who is currently depressed and is drinking a lot. It's difficult.
