He is so utterly convincing, so totally believable, I actually thought he had become an alcoholic and was filming his scenes drunk.
Forget Shakespearean actors, forget Oscar winners, this guy is unmatched in his ability to act, not just drunk, but alcoholic drunk with seething resentment and bitterness.
John F. Dunsworth ( who played Jim Lahey in Trailer Park Boys) is the greatest drunk actor of all time.

This is why British acting is such a high standard, you get actors like Steve McFadden doing soaps. Soaps get a lot of stick for some of the acting but Steve is one of the best I’ve seen, not just in soaps but films also.
