  • This a a range test from 100% to 0% with a difference. This will be done over multiple journeys at multiple speeds,multiple variations on temperatures which replicates a real world drive rather than one consistent journey. I won’t be recharging till I get the car to 0% 🤞please leave your comments or Questions and I will reply. Don’t forget to like and subscribe please.

    Really looking forward to the end results of this 👍
    For those that are watching but (and like me) are used to X number of miles per kWh e.g. 4.23 miles per kWh etc, the easy conversion is 1 divided the figure given in the Tesla info, but you need to put a decimal point in front of the Tesla figure. So in this case on your calculator it’s 1 divided by .236 = 4.237 miles per kWh

      Thanks for this I will use this calculation going forward 👍

      For us in Australia we use kW per 100km but I just divide your numbers by 1.6

    Great video. Please note the difference between kW and kWh. Its like you saying you put gasoline in the tires here, saying it used kW per mile

    Do you drive in sport mode or chill mode?

    • @Sunderland1963
      @Sunderland1963  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sacrilege to use chill mode in a MYP 😂. I was always under the assumption chill mode just cuts back and slows down acceleration/ throttle response. However I have been saying I have just driven it normal. When pulling away at traffic lights just accelerating the same as an ice car, not been flying past cars on overtaking just driving sensibly and sticking to speed limits when traffic allows

      @@Sunderland1963 yes agree would be criminal but so surprised by your numbers so far just wanted to check. I can’t help myself with flooring from traffic lights 😂. But only time I’ll need more range is longer trips where I’d likely drive more sensibly 😂.

      @@andyg3752 - so far the results look really surprising don’t know if there has been any changes made by Tesla for the 2024 models but as daft as it sounds I’m finding this car more efficient than my 2022 Model Y Long range

    Wondering if your car is a Berlin made Model Y? Looks like it by seat stitchiing - does your chassis number start LRW [China] or XP7 [Berlin]

      It’s a china made car 👍

      @@Sunderland1963 Also a N>S - [Leeds living in Marlborough] My Model Y is China RWD, delivered May 2024. 1,200 mile average is 229 wh/100km [4.4 Kw/mi] Wiltshire based so lots of country roads and trips down M4 to London / Brighton. Very pleased with the car so far. See you have had the software update since delivery, still waiting for mine to pop up.

      @@MrAnwarsmith I’m wondering if Tesla have done something different as yours is really efficient as well. Compared to my Model Y 2022 my performance seems so much more efficient and in my head it shouldn’t be.

      @@Sunderland1963 I ran a 52kwh Renault Zoe and had to really try to get similar efficiency that is no effort in the Tesla. I’ve had a couple of 5+mi/kwh runs when trying to drive eco. I’m very impressed ! The VW ID3 I had struggled to hit 4mi/kwh in normal driving, swapped back into a Zoe after a month.
