Great Tips as always Bobby and it's a super helpful video as well! I have another tip too. And that's "Create like a kid" . As kids we used to draw everything that came to our mind without any judgement. Wanting to draw Godzilla in a Tutu, doing pirouettes over the skyline of Tokyo? Sure. Wanting to draw an epic fight between a giant monster-sloth and a tini tiny snake? What is stopping us? I feel like as we grow older, we usually have the habit of judging our idea before putting them on paper. If we're not careful and judge ourselves too much, we might hit a roadblock and the creativity will stop. I think the solution is to draw like a kid first. After all, Creativity is just to create something new through allowing ourselves to play. I feel like as we get older, we sit here and think that our art has to make sense. Or has to fit a niche.... and we put all those imaginary hurdles on ourselves that makes it harder for us to be creative. Kind of like throwing a lot of stones into a river until the water stops flowing. But if we let the creativity flow, we might discover a new fun adventure laying ahead of us! (apologies if the sentence structure is a bit weird, English isn't my first language!)
I'm always listening to music and sometimes a verse will inspire me and bring me part of an idea, sometimes it will be 50%, sometimes 10%. Then, I will keep looking around me for the other parts to mix with that. But it almost always starts with a song.
Didn't even noticed I recently started abstracting peoples heads and faces into shapes like a caricature, I might be more thoughtful about it when I become "ON" in the bus doing that
'Always being on', that intentionally watching, noticing and connecting ideas, is definitely a quality of all the most interesting people I think ✨
Having dinner with a legend like Glen Keane is such a flex
Meet your heroes if you can. Glen is a true master and an incredible human

great one Nabs! Create like a kid!
I like how the painting on the wall behind you makes it like you’re wearing a tiny sombrero.
