Right so basically mate, if you go to say 'elemental' page and pull spells from there when using your uncut skill gems, and unlock like for example, 'orb of storm' or like 'Spark' you can slot them into the socket on elemental invocation, you can do this with any skill that has spell at the top of the description. place element invoation on your hot bar, then it will show you the charge in the top left of your screen when its 100% pop that shit and watch the magic happen, hope this helps
Top left under the name of your Monk Gem you can see it says "Attack" so you need to insert gems that says "Spell" Charged Staff in quarterstaff gems is actually a Spell and is labeled as so
Charged Staff being a spell makes it seem like you would be able to slot it in elemental invocation, since it accepts "spells." but I couldn't slot it, only elemental spells.
@_robo Yes, been able to test it and it doesn't work with Charged staff since you need power charges as an additional requirement to cast it. So only spells with no other requirements but mana I guess
People not understanding or even playing monk, stop commenting. With this skill slotted and spirit turn on it does not activate proc etc. the spirit level doesn’t go down and it makes you slot it like an attack even though it’s suppose to trigger. Bottom line it’s not working or incredibly unclear on how to use it
@@cfishy2610 what i found was that this functions as a battery and unleashes the built up charge when you use an activated skill associated with it rather than it triggering automatically when full edit: have spirit ready for it, a [SPELL] specifically to trigger, and a space for the activation skill that is NOT the toggle in the menu. This is in no way shape or form an easy one to figure out however in a nutshell, to even get E I to work you first must socket a SPELL SKILL, then u can socket support gems that will be functional but essentially you're adding a skill to a skill. Engrave a uncut skill gem (INT stat dependant) and the easiest way is to tab to elemental and choose something from there. I'm ice invoker so went for comet but purely just for testing because elemental invocation just isn't that worth it at all for a monk, but once you have one of the spells socketed you can then activate it properly and it will use your spirit. But there's another retarded caveat as well, you can't bind it like you can every other skill, you have to do it manually so once you've activated it, move down to your binds, pick a slot and add E I to it that way. Hope this helps beyond everyone else who either doesnt have a clue or is terrible at explaining things. Also just noticed the pinned comment, there is hope!

it's from an uncut "spirit" gem. I believe you get a total of around 4 from acts 1, 2 and 3. The first one is from a ritual totem sidequest in act 1. And the 2nd spirit gem (from i think act 2) is what lets you craft the elemental invocation one.
