      And in Florida, they can also get a day in court and/or a $250 fine to go along with it.

      They need a big ole hefty fine to boot, nothing says you really messed up like a nice fine between $500.00 - $1500.00, then maybe..just maybe they'll learn, although I doubt it.

    Man, it is so satisfying to see bad parkers finally get theirs. I am disabled and half of the time I can't get into handicap spots because of this. Not to mention all the all of the others parking wherever while the rest of us go out of way to park properly. Of course, I live in New Orleans where creative parking is an art form. No one will do anything here so it will just keeps happening.

    Bravo for the hard work you do to help clear handicap parking spaces for the handicapped. I just got my new renewed handicapped hang tag. State of FL is making it tougher & tougher to get the hang tags due to all the abuses & abusers. I have rare inherited incurable bone disease that bent my left leg, the handicapped spaces are great for me as I walk with a cane. Can't run.

    • @gravelydon7072
      @gravelydon7072 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. Mine comes due to renew next year. That means getting the pain management doctor to sign the form again. No big deal as both the State of Florida and the Feds have said I am unemployable due to disabilities and put me out on disability retirement. Today was one of those days when even walking from a parking place into the store was a pain. In my case it isn't a rare disease, it just struck a lot earlier than most would get it. Like nearly 30 years before Degenerative Disc Disease normally shows up.

    It is truly satisfying to see someone serve some justice for the handicapped. I happen to be handicapped myself, but I can still move around very easily. Therefore I leave the parking spaces for people who really need them. It really pisses me off when I see people park in a handicap zone and can walk just fine. Then again, it pisses me off when they enforce the rule to the wrong people. I took a friend of mine to Olive Garden for her birthday and she lives in her wheelchair. Just because I didn't have the sticker or the mirror tag, the people outside gave me shit about parking there. However, they did 'let' me 'unload' her (like some kind of baggage, damn hypocrites...) but then I had to park elsewhere. I told the people inside that worked at Olive Garden that people harassing us and literally belittling my friend because she was in a wheelchair. They asked me to point out which of the customers had been a part of it and once we pointed them out; they got the manager to tell them that if it is obvious that a customer is handicapped, they have the right to park in a handicapped parking space. And that if they ever harassed their handicapped customers again, they would be banned from the restaurant. Each one gave me and my friend the dirtiest looks, but we didn't care. I just smiled and said next time I would make sure to have the correct 'paperwork' should I ever decide to come back to the restaurant ever again. Then added in kind of an undertone, 'Maybe we'll go to that other Italian place... it's a shame... I really liked Olive Garden....' Then I turned and apologized to my friend by telling her that maybe we should try going somewhere else. That the people here were just being jerks and had kind of ruined the whole 'BIRTHDAY' dinner. (guess I laid on the guilt trip a little thick, but I was angry. My friend just played along. In the end, we didn't leave, our meal was half off and she got a free dessert. It had actually been paid for by one of the 'guilty' customers. So in the end it turned out okay, I just wish it didn't have to go that far.)

    It's an Access (HP) aisle for a wheelchair or any person who needs an Access Aisle to use Accessible (HP) parking. A disabled individual may need that Access Aisle to fully open the car door, let go of it, then get into or out of the car without holding onto the door because it's dangerous because when it moves it creates unstable situations

    0:53 ok...now I’m jealous...
    Due to the nature of the towing work I do, they are a lot more strict about minimising liability etc...as such, for motorcycles, we have to assemble this wide stances skate that the front wheel gets strapped into, then the entire thing gets strapped to the tray to minimise the chances of the thing falling over (bear in mind 99% of my work is roadside assistance breakdown towing)...
    Takes on average 10-15 minutes to load and secure a bike...

    The woman crossing the street at the end seems to me that the driver was looking at on coming traffic so he could make a right turn on red. I don't think texting was the issue.
    Also, I am not sure if the woman had a walk signal. If she didn't then she shouldn't have been crossing.
