That's how all people her age and older should conduct themselves.. at age 17 people always thought I was in my late 20s because they said I was so "mature and well-adjusted" I think it's just because these days it seems people stay immature much longer and for some reason, very irrational and emotional. ( I mean the reasons are actually obvious from a cultural and psychological point of view) I've been living on my own since I was 19 so I guess it was just a normal process for me but I cringe when I meet 30 year olds who talk and act like they are teenagers.

I’ve been sitting reading through comments for like 20 minutes looking for one bad and I haven’t found one yet. When he said that she was the first person to never make a mistake with the name and pronouns I literally cried. I am non-binary and have known for almost 7 years. My boyfriend was the first person I ever told and I was nervous as HELL. At the time, I'd known for 6 and a bit years and told nobody. I kept this hidden from everyone - even from myself at times - for over 6 whole years. He has always gotten my pronouns right ever since (people have been calling me by my name - not my deadname - for almost 7 years, I introduce myself using my actual name anyway so nobody really gets my name wrong anyway). I remember what it felt like to hear someone refer to you using pronouns that do actually apply for you. This couples story reminded me of similar moments between my boyfriend and I. I'm so happy for these two. They look so happy and seem to make a wonderful couple.

@@macscott2458 this is the better way. And actually depression and suicide rates DO decline after transitioning. Also tho there are some risks to transitioning, there's no pleasure loss overall.. And he did have a lot of therapy before transitioning. It's literally not allowed to medically transition without therapy beforehand. People arent going around transitioning for fun, its often nessicary for their mental health. Jamey actually made a lot of useful videos about this, I suggest you watch them. A lot of the things you mentioned are common misconceptions

Looks that way. But yeah there you go. Sexual characteristics determine sex at birth, yes, biologically, but those do not always align with one’s gender, hence the term “cisgender” referring to those whose gender matches their sexual characteristics and “transgender” defined as one whose gender does not like up with their sex. Their biology also decides brain chemistry and studies have shown much more similarity in brain chemistry and makeup between trans people and their actual gender than trans people and their sex (such as a trans man like Jamie having ,for in common neurologically with cisgender men than cisgender women.. But isn’t that cool? Science is great when we are able to find out more about ourselves as humans! So yeah it’s not pretending or a performance, please don’t intentionally twist my explanation to cater to your outdated and uneducated opinion. I have a lot I want to say, but I don't even know where to begin, so I'll just mention that some of these comments are disgusting. Jamie is a guy, and trans people are valid and should be treated as the gender they identify as. As someone who identifies as non-binary, and has been through a lot of mental health struggles because of the fact that I appear too feminine, people saying things like "if you are born a woman you will always be a woman" or "if you are born a man you will always be a man" is incredibly saddening and angering for me. It shows such a horrible understanding of biology and gender identity. Sending my love to everyone who identifies as something other than their birth sex. I was born female and identify as female but I also was born with a overabundance of testosterone. I grow a beard and had many issues with getting pregnant and other things. Videos like this really lift my spirits. My son is trans (came out at 10 and has never wavered) and I always worry about his well being and his mental health when people disagree or have issue with him being trans. He has always handled it with a firm sense of self and is super understanding of EVERYONE whether they agree with his authentic self or not. I hope that he is able to find his Shaaba and when he does I hope his significant other's family love him as much as I do.

Jammiedodger is honestly one of my favourite trans TH-camrs because I love his story and how he has grown being trans and how he inspires other people, especially young trans people.
Their wedding looked so beautiful! I think they were really surrounded by people that loved them. Although when Shaaba talked about people RSVPing yes and then cancelling last minute to show their disapproval of the relationship and hurt them emotionally and financially and about how she thought she wouldn't be allowed wedding henna, I got a bit teary-eyed. I also didn't see her twin sister in the wedding vlogs yet, but hopefully they were there and just not in camera.

I’ve been sitting reading through comments for like 20 minutes looking for one bad and I haven’t found one yet. When he said that she was the first person to never make a mistake with the name and pronouns I literally cried.
I am non-binary and have known for almost 7 years. My boyfriend was the first person I ever told and I was nervous as HELL. At the time, I'd known for 6 and a bit years and told nobody. I kept this hidden from everyone - even from myself at times - for over 6 whole years. He has always gotten my pronouns right ever since (people have been calling me by my name - not my deadname - for almost 7 years, I introduce myself using my actual name anyway so nobody really gets my name wrong anyway).
I remember what it felt like to hear someone refer to you using pronouns that do actually apply for you. This couples story reminded me of similar moments between my boyfriend and I. I'm so happy for these two. They look so happy and seem to make a wonderful couple.

And he did have a lot of therapy before transitioning. It's literally not allowed to medically transition without therapy beforehand. People arent going around transitioning for fun, its often nessicary for their mental health. Jamey actually made a lot of useful videos about this, I suggest you watch them. A lot of the things you mentioned are common misconceptions

That’s an interesting phrase but there’s: not really pretending involved, what you may be thinking of is called “transitioning” but can be physical, social, etc. and this is the process of a trans person aligning their physical traits and other stuff to better match the way they are comfortable presenting themselves and how their gender should be expressed (since a lot of trans people were forced to fit in a box determined only by their genitalia).
@@wghmnb9136 you’ve been arguing on a bunch of other threads so I’m sure this isn’t actually questioning how being trans works, but gender is determined as more of a mental/neurological identity as an inner thing whereas sex is categorized by your genitalia/sexual characteristics at birth: hence the term “cisgender” being someone whose gender aligns with their biological sex and “transgender” indicating non-alignment with that like Jamie whose gender (again, sense of self and brain chemistry since studies have found that trans people’s’ brains are more likely to be similar to their gender’s brain chemistry instead of their biological sex’s, there’s a mismatch sometimes), and “cisgender” is when gender and sex agree with each other. This isn’t a belief, this is how some people are, and they’re not forcing their identity on others like forcing people to be trans. I’ve already explained gender multiple times and how it is different. According to Oxford, “gender” is defined as “either of the two sexes especially when considered with reference to the social and cultural differences rather than biological ones”...if you’d prefer another, WHO defines it as “their characteristics of women, men, girls and boys that are socially constructed” and Merriam Webster cites it as “the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex.”
But you didn’t care to look up a simple definition because it doesn’t support your argument? Looks that way. But yeah there you go. Sexual characteristics determine sex at birth, yes, biologically, but those do not always align with one’s gender, hence the term “cisgender” referring to those whose gender matches their sexual characteristics and “transgender” defined as one whose gender does not like up with their sex. Their biology also decides brain chemistry and studies have shown much more similarity in brain chemistry and makeup between trans people and their actual gender than trans people and their sex (such as a trans man like Jamie having ,for in common neurologically with cisgender men than cisgender women.. But isn’t that cool? Science is great when we are able to find out more about ourselves as humans!
So yeah it’s not pretending or a performance, please don’t intentionally twist my explanation to cater to your outdated and uneducated opinion. Trans people are their gender, they’re not pretending anything, just being themselves.
Anyway yeah there’s your definitions, I’d encourage you to read up on the subject since just because you believe something isn’t a thing doesn’t mean it suddenly ceases to be. I have a lot I want to say, but I don't even know where to begin, so I'll just mention that some of these comments are disgusting. Jamie is a guy, and trans people are valid and should be treated as the gender they identify as. As someone who identifies as non-binary, and has been through a lot of mental health struggles because of the fact that I appear too feminine, people saying things like "if you are born a woman you will always be a woman" or "if you are born a man you will always be a man" is incredibly saddening and angering for me. It shows such a horrible understanding of biology and gender identity. Sending my love to everyone who identifies as something other than their birth sex. You are valid, don't let people try to tell you otherwise

I was born female and identify as female but I also was born with a overabundance of testosterone. I grow a beard and had many issues with getting pregnant and other things. So to say you are born as what you are meant to be infuriates me because although I am female and identifying as female I have many male characteristics. It made my life hell and in my book if you are happy and have no body disphoria then no one else has any right to say anything about it!!!! LET PEOPLE BE HAPPY WITH LIFE AND THEIR BODY!!!!!

Videos like this really lift my spirits. My son is trans (came out at 10 and has never wavered) and I always worry about his well being and his mental health when people disagree or have issue with him being trans. He has always handled it with a firm sense of self and is super understanding of EVERYONE whether they agree with his authentic self or not. I hope that he is able to find his Shaaba and when he does I hope his significant other's family love him as much as I do.

Their wedding looked so beautiful! I think they were really surrounded by people that loved them. Although when Shaaba talked about people RSVPing yes and then cancelling last minute to show their disapproval of the relationship and hurt them emotionally and financially and about how she thought she wouldn't be allowed wedding henna, I got a bit teary-eyed. I also didn't see her twin sister in the wedding vlogs yet, but hopefully they were there and just not in camera.
Well, Jamie did talk about gender ideology with Shaaba’s younger sisters when they were only 9 years old. Then exploited it for views. I can see that possibly being a problem with the family.
@@name02 how did he exploit it, per se? he posted *one* cute video on the matter, and most likely with the parents’ permission as well. when thinking of family issues, I think the *disapproval* of the *relationship* falls less on the topic of a 4 year old TH-cam video and more on their opinions on Jaime being trans. Also, if blatantly wrong gender stereotypes can be forced onto children, so can the idea of expressing yourself comfortably.
I like when trans person look like gender they are identyfied. It is so natural and I am happy for them. (I do not want to hurt anybody, I am just happy for them, that they look just like the gender they want to be)
