The 'racing' go kart brakes are great, but they need to warm up before they get really good. Don't be afraid to do your version of the same car, nobody gets to claim 'dibs' on any of these old beauty's
The tool that you used at about four and a half minutes to drill for safety wire, you could also run a sacrificial nut on. Just drill through the nut and the bolt at the same time, and when you back the nut off, it'll clean your threads up.

If you wrap a piece of copper or other soft metal around a shaft you can squeeze with all your might on the vice it will protect the shaft or !
