- “Sleep Paralysis” is a gripping psychological thriller short film that delves into the unsettling world of Blake’s nightmares. A man plagued by terrifying encounters with a mysterious black shadow figure during his episodes of sleep paralysis. In a desperate quest to find answers and regain control over his own mind, Blake seeks the assistance of Dr. Kiara, a compassionate and experienced sleep specialist.
The film begins with Blake’s haunting experiences in his bedroom, where he finds himself trapped in a state of paralysis while a sinister presence looms over him. These encounters leave Blake in a state of fear, anxiety, and sleep deprivation, driving him to the point of madness. Blake has no other option but to seek professional help before his paralysis takes over and the shadow figure becomes more than just a demon in his nightmares.
This 15 minute independent short film was recorded on an iPhone 14 Pro Max with the Moment anamorphic Lens. Captured with the CinemaP3 App. Edited on Vegas Pro 18, Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

I used to suffer from Alice In Wonderland Syndrome as a child, which was horrible. Night terrors basically, but where everything is distorted. Thankfully I grew out of it.
Love the way sleep paralysis is explained here. Great acting, great atmosphere. He died from fright and literally his own shadow👍
