Hi I am new so hope I'm not butting in. My only suggestion I would make as far as the colour of paint on the outside. Not to change the colour if you like it maybe just fresh coat. Just to bring new feeling to the home. Looking forward to your updates
How about making the 1942 house to represent the early 1940's? That could be a wonderful theme with a true nostalgia for its beginnings. The second house will be excellent as a fairy house, as the style really suits that theme. You probably know Colleen Moore's fairy castle (now called a doll house). It is a beautiful reference for your idea. I like both house projects and will be watching your channel to see how you progress!
I love Colleen Moores house and saw it at least 5 times. My mom took me as a child to see it in Chicago and I took my girls when they were little. I actually did my bathroom inspired by the Fairy Castle of hers. Why did they change the name to a doll house? Hmmm I liked it better as the Fairy Castle. Colleen Moore did not have dolls in it because she said only fairies lived in it so that is why she said she did not need railings for the magnificent staircase. I will do a video on my bathroom and show the Colleens Castle bathroom in comparison, but I do not have a glass tub lol And remember the weeping willow tree and the tree that rocked a baby cradle to represent the nursery rhyme? Gosh, I think I need to see it again. We live by Chicago and my daughter lives in the city now.
Oh yes, great idea to furnish and decorate like the 1940s! Never even entered my mind which is weird since that is my favorite era and I did my other dollhouse all in that theme.
I'll be looking forward to the progress you make on these two homes. You have me intrigued with all the small furnishings you find and place inside that gives the homes such warmth.
I think the house that you said was your mom's that when she was growing up does need a fresh coat of paint some of the floors need to be done in the walls and some plastic on the windows or something to make them look like Windows and the other little house is cute it looks like a fairy house already it just needs a little fixing cuz you did a cute job on that one also and stick some little fairy dolls in there it's cute if you put little fairy stuff all over in it thanks for sharing with everyone
Oh Mollie that will be so fun bringing those houses to life!!! The second one was such a cute cottage!! A fairy house will be adorable. Then the first one has so much potential!! Your Mom would be thrilled to see it come back to life!! Looking forward to watching it happen!! Have fun!!
I am going to put electricity in it too. I never thought that would happen when I was little. I cannot wait mostly to do my moms dollhouse my grandpa built. I will be starting on that one first.
I wish my mom would have kept the doll house my grandpa made me. I always love when you pull in old photos. I love that you made the second one. It’s sweet and small. You truly have a love for these and I was happy to have this tour.
@@AbilityToBeAwesome Good idea. Funny, you mentioned the mirror because I was going to say that I was going to take it out lol I made it in the 90s for the dollhouse and some of the shells came off. I love your idea. I can glue more little shells on it where they came off and paint the shells gold around it. Thanks! I will do a video on doing that.

I was even thinking just all white and then the inside would be with color.

Thanks Tracie, I love looking and reminiscing about the past. The photos really bring me back and reflect on a time I was not living yet too
Awe this is adorable!
Thanks, do you have any suggestions about what to do with the rooms?
@@mollieanne I like the seashell mirror but I almost would want to class it up by painting it gold
