A four year one would be nice. It’s just a three year plan feels like it goes away too quickly as the first year is just the build up and hype for the first two main factions
I kind of hope that they surprise us with Vulkan and a Salamanders codex or something. Sure leman Russ would be cool but a loyalist primarch who’s chapter doesn’t have their own codex suddenly coming back and getting one? That would be a statement piece for sure
@@ShadowPhoenixMaximus I'm not waiting. an "Auxilia Force" detachment is one of my homebrew projects now that we have good vespids, a vaguely functional kroot selection, and it can be tied together with part of the detachment ability being focused on buffing units lead by Characters.
Can we just make the edition 3 years and get the all the codex in 1 year, because GW absolutely can't release all the codex until 6 months before the end of edition (usually in 2.5y). Because of money.
I'd love it if they could release all the codices in year one, I would be perfectly ok with new models being released throughout to keep things interesting too
GW should change their business strategy on this, but I feel like their total profits would genuinely be bigger if they reduced their cost and stopped pricing people out of the hobby. But that's me.
They should, in all honesty, now the technology is there do .5's on editions so instead of moving to 11th edition, just extend the lifespan of the current edition for a year or 2 by making 10.5 edition. I think everyone can agree the codex situations for 9th and 10th has not been optimal. I'd rather 11th Edition spent more time in the oven personally than GW stumbling along, thinking it would solve their problems and making the same mistakes
GW needs to just bite the bullet and go fully digital with their rules - they would be able to get every faction codex released within a year if they didn't have to worry about printing all the physical books. From a gameplay perspective, the only thing a codex has that an index doesn't is a couple more detachments each with a few stratagems and enhancements, and occasionally one or two new units for the faction. Going full digital would also make balancing easier and people won't get so upset about their expensive book being out of date within a few months. I think physical codices should become collector's items with just a bunch of artwork and lore, but they would still come with a redeemable code to get a faction's digital rules in the app.
@@michaelpeek633 I'd do that yeah, but still release a codex at the end of an edition as a capstone. I don't get why they can't release all codex in 1 year of a new edition launch and then spend the following 2 years releasing new minis possibly themed with with what is happening in the lore at that moment. Would give everyone their rules rather quickly and would keep most factions relevant to the current setting.

I must get the Dark Angels Battleforce. Will go great with my Deathwing Assault models. 2 units of 5 Deathwing Knights with swords, 1 unit of 5 with maces!

I homebrewed stats for a melee "knifewings" vespid unit, but I can't model for crap. Gave them neutron-energized vibroblades (just like their neutron blasters) and the option to take a couple flamers. Pondering a statline for a stealth sniper unit.
@@zazi5305 it's probable, but it's really going to depend on which way they go. Will he have 4 arms or 2? Weapon options could play a factor. If they go more snake- like, I'd expect smaller wings and more arms. Almost like a Marilith from D&D with wings.
Of course most sellers still have the Blood Angels combat patrol cause it's shit. You have no vehicles and the most work it unit can't even use half it's abilities but yeah Sanguinary Guard might be an auto take since outside of Characters and a Sanguinary Priest buff you can't get AP 3 in melee otherwise.
No upgrade sprues so the knights is not a good purchase. The whole point is to magnetize all options as we know gw sales department will just change what weapon options and knights are good to shelve all of them within the year.
I did not preorder the blood angels combat patrol as i assumed it will be readily availiable as with the other combat patrols. Looking at the preorder was i wrong about this assumtion, is fomo the main strategy here?
They already struggle to produce product in line with demand, hence many kits being out of stock so often. Reducing price would increase demand, while their production capacity to maintain sufficient supply would remain as insufficient as ever.
@Magos_Sigma this is the best point against calls for bringing their prices down and not locking people out of the market. GW doesn't have the supply (either deliberately for FOMO purposes or accidentally) to meet greater demand, and as such can afford to raise their prices.
