Probably one of best books on the subject of creative thinking ever written. At this point I think I’ve bought about 5 copies for friends and I’m sure I’ll buy more hah!
I think those that disliked this book approached this the wrong way. If they came into it thinking they'll get insight on music production, they would be greatly disappointed. Or if you thought he would provide some unknown wisdom are also disappointed, maybe not, there's many variables that are at play. Don't take what RR says at face value, but read between the lines and look at things from an allegorical perspective.
Frankly the book is not that good. I read it only when I have absolutely nothing else to do. Mid way through and I cannot say I have learned anything about being creative that I didn’t already know. It’s a bit over-hyped

It’s more about mindset than tactics
