Costa Rica Fishing Report 2024 APRIL

The skilled captains and mates at Crocodile Bay have been fishing these Costa Rican waters for generations, learning from years of experience off the Osa Peninsula. April was an excellent month for catching billfish based on our guests' catch numbers noting a recent increase in billfish activity.
While blue marlin is the most common type at Crocodile Bay in April, we've also seen more black marlin. In April, our crews caught good numbers of black marlin, suggesting their numbers are growing. Plus, the tuna fishing has been amazing, with our crews spotting spinner dolphins leading schools of tuna weighing from 20 to 300 lbs every day.
