You're so welcome, Amy! And He speaks to my heart from your encouraging comment. Just when I think I'm off the deep end in what I share, He puts a sweet comment like yours in view! Thank YOU!

@@linzi3998 thank you for sharing that, Linzi. I’d like to also hear more about your church home group…is this something you lead or is it broken off from your church for Bible study?

I think quite time with God is going before him in prayer and listening for him to speak and show us what we should do,to be still and reverence him and praise him, and then the rest of the time is talking with him and telling him what is on our minds our thoughts, because he is closer than a brother or sister.

That looks like a great book! Ive always had that fear..fear of disappointing parents, fear of my teachers, fear of bosses. And that fear jas always made me respectful and eager to please. BUT is also causes distance. A little afraid to get too close to these figures of authority. I dont want to be distant from God. I see the closness that you have in your relationship with him, i still see reverance. We are all children of God. Some children can't sit still in their seat, they stil love, respect, and fear their teacher🩷🙏😉

Ohh, I must be that child! I appreciate you saying that. I often wonder how I come off when I'm sharing. I know where my heart is, but I also know I can be "too much" for some...and that's ok...but it is helpful to know I can have those moments, yet still be in reverence in my relationship with Him, so thanks again for being encouraging with your comment!

I think I’ve been helped by reading books by Banner of Truth Books- JC Ryle or Valley of Vision - Prayers. I’m going to be reading Knowing God by Packer and God’s Attributes- one and two by Tozer this year - oldies, but definitely good for the soul. 😊

Ohhh, thanks for reminding me that I also have The Valley of Vision prayer book! Going to pull it off the shelf now as a reminder to read. I'll have to take a look at the JC Ryle books...not sure I've read any of those before, any specific suggestion? :)

@ - Since I’m shopping my shelves, I’ve got one of JC Ryles I’m adding to my 2025 TBR - Holiness.
