Ahhh - great news!! 🎉🙌🏼 But probably bad news for your husband, I have a feeling he’ll struggle get his iPad back 😝 It’s what happened to my husband 😂🙈
Thanks so much for the sheets! I am feeling much more confident in learning my strokes. I can’t wait to put these together to create anything at this point! 😂😊
You are most welcome! So glad to hear your confidence is improving - that’s exactly what I was hoping for ☺️ Stay tuned for my next videos where we will dive a little deeper into our practice 😄🤗
I’ve been using the iPad 6th Gen and original Apple Pencil to follow along with practicing. I really found the 1-10 pressure tip you used on the first video of this series to be very useful! I still do have issues with zooming in and out on a page to achieve the line thickness. And I do find myself getting lost in the movements of lettering. it’s quite relaxing. Thanks and can’t wait for more tips and tricks. ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for your kind feedback 🙏🏼 Totally agree with you - lettering practice is very relaxing. Once you get into a rhythm it’s almost like meditation ☺️ And the 6th gen iPad is a really good iPad too! 🤗
Thank you Sue! So exciting to hear about your new iPad!! 🎉 Definitely check out Procreate - it is very easy to use and so much fun ☺️ Also let me know if there’s anything I can help you with 🤗
Besides being grateful that you make these practice sheets available, I also appreciate the example, etc. layers are "pre-locked". I've used other iPad practice sheets in the past where I had to go into each sheet, lock the example and gridline layers, and create a "Write Here" layer; it's so nice to not have to worry about that. As an aside, I think the uppercase "I" would benefit from a thick downstroke on the small, entrance stroke to differentiate it more from lowercase "l" (as is serendipitously shown by this typed font :). Thanks to your practice sheet it will be easy for me to try different variations.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback 🙏🏼 Yes I agree about the uppercase I, it’s probably the letter I struggle with the most 🙈 I have about 20 different versions of it and none of them look ‘perfect’ to me 😭 I will your suggestion though! 🤗
The issue I have when lettering on the iPad is, the pressure of the brush. I know I can change the the thickness of the brush on the left side of the screen but that doesn’t solve the issue of how much pressure you put on the screen to achieve the thickness of the downstroke. Also, another issue I am having is, without your wonderful free guides, I can’t seem to get my spacing correct. Will this come with practice or will you address this in another tutorial? Thanks for sharing this! I am already seeing a difference in my lettering. iPad lettering is so different than paper and I am so excited to learn something new so, again thank you!
Thanks so much for your kind comment! For brush pressure, I very much recommend that you watch the first video in the series! Maybe even re-import the IPL Strokes Practice brush so that you have the exact settings that I have, and then see if you can follow the strokes exactly the way I'm showing in the video :) It's definitely all about practice! th-cam.com/video/vvAX_jY2w4w/w-d-xo.html Very good point about spacing! It's definitely practice too, and I'm going to talk about that in a couple of weeks when we are going to move on to practising writing words :)

I love how you took a common video (ie. Hand lettering) and turned it into your own by implementing your iPad!
