The Hills: New Beginnings follows Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Frankie Delgado, Heidi Pratt, Jason Wahler, Justin "Bobby" Brescia, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt and Whitney Port as they return to the city they love. During Laguna Beach Kristin always got the boy (Stephen). But in this ending LC got the boy. I loved it. And this version of unwritten. So glad its back! Just wish Kristin, LC, and Stephen were apart of it.

The Hills and the first seasons of Laguna Beach are the best 'reality' shows to ever be on TV. This was literally a part of my teenage years, and I almost feel bad for people that didn't have it growing up.

Lauren and Kristin were the first girls to have their teen and young adult years documented for reality TV. They were the proto influencers and they were so good at those dramatic stares, hair flips and making everything seam so real but cinematic. What a time

The fallout of Lauren and Heidi was genuine because they met way before The Hills even aired and Spencer did try to destroy Lauren's reputation. Kristin and Lauren were cool though but the drama got maximized to make LB marketable. And some friendships were real.

what happened I was born in 2001 so this show wasn't really in my generation

This should have been the ending!!! It's perfect! They even could have still had the set removed behind Brody and had him go back to Lauren. Then we all would have been like what?! What's real etc. They should have used this!
IKR. However, the main reason they used the soundstage one instead of this it's because Brody was with Avril Lavigne at the time so the one with LC wasn't used due to fears that Brody might be accused of two timing, LOL. Luckily, MTV finally aired the LC ending in 2013, three years after the original show ended.
Also Brody and Lauren weren’t actually in the same room doing the scene together lol it was cute though, but look at the camera angles and the timing between words and glances.
This brings goosebumps to me , even if it want real! I don’t think any show will beat the impact of the hills. I know they are making a new one but let’s hope they bring it back to the old school style
They should have mixed the two endings, with Lauren smiling and then it zooming out to show a set and lights. That way we’d still get the shock of them admitting it was fake, but also ending it with Lauren.

The ending looked so fake because they aren’t really good actors. I think the fakeness was woven into some reality but this ending was 100% fake. Some of it had to be based in some facts because if it was all fake Heidi and Spencer wouldn’t still be together.

I love this ending so much more because if it was really script they would have Lauren and Heidi coming out of one building all buddy buddy and Whitney coming out of another where The City would’ve been “filmed” at so this one makes it more better plus we get to see LC one last time on the show that had her famous eyeliner tear running down her cheek. That seen is so iconic

OMG 2018 and still watching this!!! As much as I liked this alternate ending, the way it ACTUALLY ended was way better. I think the producers stuck to the original ending because this one left too many questions open. At the time people thought this show was REAL. Im sure people would've been wanting a show about Lauren and Brody or something along the lines. The way it ended just ENDED it all in a final curtain close.

I remember watching the series finale. It was a big deal and MTV was airing a live watch-party. After the ending I was like “WTF?” The MTV personality hosting the watch-party seemed to share my sentiment. She was interviewing Brody and he gave some whack explanation (he knew how horrible that ending was too). This ending DEFINITELY should have been used!
