Nice! I remember seeing those at HF just never picked one up, looks like a pretty good flier. I have an old Parkzone P-51 I've been planning to restore or "resto-mod".
The parkzone was the the- choice one if you already had the rc knowledge and a radio...I think. This HF model was for the rc newbie who didn't know how or where to get the traditional rc planes, while the HF P-51 was right there... in the store...on the shelf in front of them. That model made us hungry for the more well known rc models.
I bought one when they first went on sale, think I paid $75 and had no idea what I was doing. That was 11 years ago and many many RC airplanes ago and I still have no idea what I'm doing but I'm having fun doing it
Ditto. 8 years ago for me. I know o said 7 in the video, but it was actually 8 I think. I also have a lot of plants now and I've managed to crash 3 still this summer. But I intend to repair them all though.
I was always afraid of buying one of these lol .. I didn’t know how to fly yet .. 😂😂 I always had my eyes on it when ever I would go to harbor freight ..
Well that was logical. Flying one of these as your first plane as most RC pilots would say is... to be disastrous. But I did and that's why this one looks the way it does now. It's not gentle hard to fly. I definitely learned how to repair planes with this. But I also learned how to fly well quicker as well with it.
I have a much bigger motor in mine it will climb vert out of sight 3s 1300. I hv been trying to break the wings off for years still holds up. The Galloping Ghost. ........
It usually operates between 2/3 to full throttle. It seems to have a very short power range... so I generally keep it at the higher end . I'm used to much faster models than this and this can fly up to 7 minutes at near full throttle.
I didn’t know that Harbor Freight offered a P-51 Mustang. Thanks for sharing!
Please have an excellent and awesome day!
☀️✨✈️
They did for many years back in the day. You could find them in most any HF store.

Very nice! Sounds incredibly scale.
Probably because it has a prop gearbox. That's what most of the sound is.

Still have mine hanging on the wall! Rebuilt it to fly again but it flew terribly… waiting to fly it again someday
Mine stays shelved most of the time. I break it out once every couple of years just to get back to something simple.
Does it not have throttle control it looked like it was flat out the whole time.
