I was always taught that Intent, Matter and Form must be there. If the priest intends not to consecrate at mass, then there is no mass as such. God can work grace, but the intent for the sacraments must be there. "To do what the church intends" even in baptism. If a "Faithless" priest does the mass and doesn't intend to do what the Church does, how is that a valid Mass? God can work grace, but that mass is not valid. So this means the Society of St Pius X can perform the sacraments God delivers on all of them, valid mass etc.

I don't know the answer to your question. But in speculating, I would think that the intent would be an individual intellectual matter of requirement. That by saying the prayers the Church has given, it in of itself shows intent through the eyes of faith. The reason being is because there would be too much room for doubt in the sacraments if the priest needed the thought police to make sure that he was of proper thinking. I am guessing that the catechisms have answers to these questions though.
