Was passing the time watching one of your ME-IR DA42 videos (as I'm doing my CB-IR exams at the moment) and up popped this one, thought this is new and hey presto yes it is! Fabulous. Welcome home. Hope things improve for you (and everyone else!) in the not so distant future.
Nice to see you back. Hopefully this current situation won't last long and you'll be back in the cockpit soon. In the meantime keep the videos coming :-)
I loved the video Ben - Its always nice for one of your videos to pop up as a notification :) Can't wait to get back to things after this horrible virus has blown over.... Thanks for the amazing content, you never fail to entertain
Yesss guess who’s back....! Great video. Never a truer word said “time to spare, go by air!” 😂 blink an half a day has gone. Nice Landing. Jealous of the radio patter
Hope you are well, Ben. I've been watching your videos a lot recently. I am so tempted by the MEP rating when we can all get flying again. When I heard the dreadful news about Flybe, you were one of the first people I thought of! Then I thought of all the other Aeros graduates who were lucky enough to have worked for them. Stay safe and well through these current times! Adam.
Plane Old Ben A few years ago (2014/2015) I did have a go in Aeros’ very old Piper Seneca. I got up to just about three hours but I would need total retraining if I were to do it. My only thing is the good old question of what you do with it once you’ve got it, multi-engine GA is unheard of these days. It’s an on going conflict in my mind! I am missing being able to fly the TB20 I’ve got access to at Gloucester now.
It's nice for us you're posting videos Ben, but sad for you because of the Flybe debacle. Still, when (although it might seem like if for quite a while) we get through this virus which has hit GA along with everything else (my GFT included) I hope you can get back to a good proper job! All the best, Steve!
Hi Ben, quality vid as usual, and don’t worry you are an excellent young pilot and I’m Sure you will be snapped up as soon as this corona crap is sorted out. Steve.
Welcome back, Ben. Thanks for posting - it was a welcome distraction from the constant stream of bad news! Out of interest, what's your preference, C172 or PA28?
@@PlaneOldBen We are fine at the moment. My dad is 90 in May and Karen's mum is 91 today so we are having to care for them at a distance. I hope you are well.
Love your videos Ben.. good to see you back. Just wondering if there is any chance in your videos to add subtitles. ATC talk rather quick and as a Student PPL watching and listening to your videos is always beneficial to learning and understanding ATC.
It would take too long to add subtitles unfortunately - as soon as you get a few more hours and understand the concepts you'll have no trouble understanding. It is really tricky at first, though!
Got grounded one hour from my test because of this coronavirus, so annoyed! Oh well could be worse, have my health, and best of wishes to you all. Thanks for this entertainment in these strange times ben
When this whole corona-virus thing is done, i'm hopefully going to start filming my flying. So if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your GoPro's from? Also it's nice seeing you back!!
I was always taught to make sure the avionics were powered off when starting the engine. It looks like you kept your radio on here as you started. Thoughts?
Hi Ben, another great video :-) Do you mind sharing your thoughts on using mnemonics instead of or in combination with a written checklist. The Americans have the "GUMPS" check, but your sounds more like BUMPFISH? Is this a British thing, and do you always use this no matter which a/c? Finally, what ipad- kneeboard are you using? Thanks in advance for your inputs, and for the great videos!
Being on "lock down' this past week, I am glad to see another PoB Flight Vlog . This corona virus is bad timing in your career; but be patient and be assured that your career will be on Schedule in a few months after the health problems are solved. Cheers
Been a while, glad to see you back!
Charlie Flying thanks! Should hopefully be a good few new videos out soon!
NIce little flight there Ben. I spotted my home town of Colne in there too.
Great video. Just done my first 40 minutes in the same model air craft from LBA. Like nothing I've ever experienced ☺️
Great video! Fingers crossed for some more content
Thanks a lot, Will!
Great to have you back Ben! Thanks for another video!
Just what is needed in this lockdown!
Thanks Daniel! There will be a lot of new videos out soon.
Missed these so much! Good to have you back
Thanks for watching, Pat!
That radio! Wish my radio talk flowed like that 😝proper pro mate 👌😝 bang on the centre line aswell... Smart 👍👌
Aha thanks but I’ve just been doing a bit longer than you that’s all.
Great video as usual. I am working on my CPL and your content is a real treasure trove. Thanks again for sharing.
Thanks for watching, glad it helped!
Hi Ben, I haven't had time to watch the video yet but will do later. But its great to see you keeping positive and getting behind the yoke again.
Thanks a lot, Ian.
Thanks Ben, nice to see the final leg of that days flying.
Thanks Jason.
Wellcome back I frankly wish the circumstances were better.
Gordon Bruce so do I, can’t wait for it to all be over!
Ben,
Wish the circumstances were different. However, that said, glad your back on air in the air. All the very best.
Thanks mate hope you’re keeping well.
Leeds Bradford is close to me. Loved the video as always

Great to see you posting again Ben. 👍
Thanks Rory, can't wait for you to take me on a day out in the helicopter!
Plane Old Ben that will be fun!
Excellent vid. Nice to have some normalcy! Cheerio from the locked down Chicago.
Thanks!
Welcome back, hope your doing well with all this craziness. Stay safe! ✈️
Thank you, you too!
Glad to see you back. It’s a real shame you got made redundant at Flybe. You can still see the Dash-8s parked at Heathrow
It's so sad seeing them all parked up!
Thanks for the video Ben, it helps take my mind off things. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too. Editing it was a nice distraction.

Brilliant Ben, thanks for sharing this video 👍🏻 A welcome distraction 😃
Thanks Lee 👍🏼
It’s always a crosswind from the left hand side on 32 at leeds. Lol
Awesome footage man. Cheers from Canada.
Thanks for watching from over there!
Superb video thanks

Glad to see you back Ben. Wonderful to see you flying again even if it's just a Cessna 172 🙂
Matthew Tasker thanks Matthew! The C172 is definitely one of my favourite types to fly.
@@PlaneOldBen I also enjoy flying it. Though my flying is only virtual inside FSX 😅 #simpilot 😂👍🏻
Love it mate
Jack Simms thanks Jack!
it took you quiet a wild to land but it was still good
'Shall we call ground' almost fainted
Welcome back, Ben. Thanks for posting - it was a welcome distraction from the constant stream of bad news! Out of interest, what's your preference, C172 or PA28?
I’d say C182, PA28, C172 🤷🏻♂️😂
Welcome back Ben

When this whole corona-virus thing is done, i'm hopefully going to start filming my flying. So if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your GoPro's from? Also it's nice seeing you back!!
I got them from various places over the years tbh! eBay has been quite good for them.
How long would a flight like this normally take?
Cracking video mate. Out of interest how much was landing at LBA all together? Thinking about flying in sometime
Thanks a lot, Charlie, I can't remember off the top of my head as it was 6 months ago but there's mandatory handling so it isn't the cheapest.
Super video sir , 👍
good to see you back up :)
HARRY MAYO-JOY thank you Harry!
think he spilt the coffee at 9:22
I was always taught to make sure the avionics were powered off when starting the engine. It looks like you kept your radio on here as you started. Thoughts?
That’s right you should do, must’ve missed doing it there.
Good you see you back Ben. How is the AP job?
Dave Donnelly I’m jobless! Flybe went into administration.
Hey up !! Great job 👍🏼
Thanks for watching Nick.
Great to see some content! Hope you’re doing well given the current situation. A side question, what kneeboard are you using?
It's an older kneeboard that isn't for sale anymore sadly because it works great!
Sorry to hear about Flybe. I hope you’re ok? Once the virus has passed, jobs should be on the up again.
Thanks a lot Chris.
Hi Ben, have you had the chance to fly a Piper Comanche yet? Or have any interest in doing so? Once COVID-19 is gone obviously!
SmokingSpitfire that’s something I haven’t flown, would love to have a go in one!!
@@PlaneOldBen Its a lovely example. A 180 with tip tanks. Do you have any way to contact you to organise something?
@@PlaneOldBen I've sent you a message on FB
Just the entertainment during these times. I'll have to make do with FSX for now.
I love a bit of siimming!

Glad you enjoyed it!
What's the flight time from leeds Bradford to Blackpool mate
Around 35/40 minutes.
Lovely job boss ✈️

Pretty sure that is marcos in the dash 😂
Ben do you ever go back and look at your early videos or is too cringe making?
Gordon Bruce maybe after a few wines now and then, but not often!
