@@itsraisan I would suggest , If you have this amount of money, then do bba or bcom from SFU or UBC. Getting admission there is not that tough as it is for Masters. Other option is do it from India from a good university. It will save your money and you will also get good education.

1. A few years back they used to take an english test when you come to the uni apart from ielts test you gave. Failing the same would cost you 500 CAD 2. The passing marks required for MBA foundation is 72% and if you fail the same you will have to repeat the foundation course. 3. In 1st sem they give you an option to select your professor for particular subject. There are limited seats for each professor and the teaching style varies hence affecting the passing rate. 4. Out of 18 around 6 or 7 students pass the foundation course for the MBA. They tend to change the college and face difficulties while doing so. This was what i understood.... I tried to translate as accurately as possible but i could have still missed something. P.S - he is speaking from his own experience as a student and he may have not researched about the issue because it seems like a one to one conversation rather than a detailed video based on facts.

Although, I am aware that I would have to clear TOEFL or IELTS mandatorily, so that seems easy and wouldn't take much time. @@backspace202 Most MBA programs are too expensive and are either in Toronto or small cities and require GMAT and are overall difficult to get into...especially with study gap.....This university is easy to get into is what I heard...although it's difficult to pass exams...they need minimum 72 % which I think is the only drawback....

Trinity Western University is a REAL University. TWU's accredition is legit. (TWU has been a full member and active participant in the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) since 1984). UCW doesn't have accreditation with any Canadian or North American certifying body. Only 2 of its programs have apparently gained accredition with some obscure/external business program that very few business academics have ever heard of. Maybe if you get a degree from UCW, you can use it in India; but don't count on any companies in Canada or the US recognizing a UCW credential. Why do you think UCW heavily markets itself Internationally, and has very low Canadian enrollment? Do your research! There are many smaller universities and colleges in British Columbia and Canada offering MBAs that are actually "REAL" and are accredited by respected accreditation boards. Some of these smaller 'real' universities are: Kwantlen Polytechnic University; Trinity Western University, University of the Fraser Valley; Vancouver Island University The basic one is the AUCC - Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada. (Ask yourself why UCW can't get membership in AUCC?!). Its your money. Do your research!

That's because 2% had 5+ yrs of experience so their experience counts rather than mba. As employers know that UCW takes in students without GMAT and less percentage people. They reject their resumes directly seeing UCW tag and freshers doing general MBA coz general MBA is done by 5+ yrs of experience ppl in Western countries, specialized mbas are done 2+ yrs of experience. some alumni recommended pgd bttr than this mba

2. Now coming to the second point, about foundation courses. Firstly, to clarify, each subject requires a passing score of 60%. However, in order to pass the entire term of 3 courses, the average grade for the term should be above 72%. This means that a student can get 60% in one subject and above 80% in others and still pass the term.(80+80+60/3 = 73.33%). Secondly, to make it aware, most colleges/universities in the US and Canada have a passing grade of 72%. This is not something unique to UCW. Also to add, as a student, I feel that 90% of the professors make the assignments and quizzes very straightforward and on the point that it is very easy to score above 72% to pass. They have no intention to fail you and see you back in their classes. Also, there is an appeal process, which allows students to appeal their grades if they feel they are inappropriate. I have had friends who have appealed for better scores, and the professor has done the same. Also, in case you fail a foundation course, you do not need to repeat all three foundation courses. You can just take one and repeat the same to improve grades and then further move to MBA. Yes, it is true that without completion of foundation, a student can not start MBA. However, this instruction is provided when an offer letter is issued. It is known as conditional admission. Also, they are much simpler courses to pass than the actual MBA courses.

@@marsiyanoor6592 Foundation course includes Maths/Stats, Economic and English. According to me they are easier then the actual courses. The reason they are provided to students is because they are important to understand before your start MBA for some of the students. There is an additional fee, when you are provided admission letter, you are provided the details for the same. it is 3 more months which is one extra term. In case you do not want to do foundation you can always reject the admission letter and apply somewhere else

I am currently a domestic student at UCW and living in Vancouver for 15 years also a college instructor in Vancouver. I think its better to do proper researcn about past and present. And you can decide for your own. Hope this helps.
This is just a personal opinion and should not influenced others, i look at it at a different point of view in regards to bad and good reviews of others, opinions are opinions people are entitled to it. Didn’t matter which institution you go theres always opinions. But what matters most to me is what knowledge I can absor and skills that can be added to what I have that i know i can utilize in my teaching profession while i transition to other areas, but also looking at potential financial stability in the future. It is a boutique type school , and really owned by Private Company in Netherlands after it went bankrupt - it is really a school that is offering cheap poor quality education to attract those who want to move into Canada. It has zero IELTS requirement and targeting so many mature people who are otherwise not accepted by other established public schools- it does so by lowering the admission requirements.

2. Now coming to the second point, about foundation courses. Firstly, to clarify, each subject requires a passing score of 60%. However, in order to pass the entire term of 3 courses, the average grade for the term should be above 72%. This means that a student can get 60% in one subject and above 80% in others and still pass the term.(80+80+60/3 = 73.33%). Secondly, to make it aware, most colleges/universities in the US and Canada have a passing grade of 72%. This is not something unique to UCW.
Also to add, as a student, I feel that 90% of the professors make the assignments and quizzes very straightforward and on the point that it is very easy to score above 72% to pass. They have no intention to fail you and see you back in their classes. Also, there is an appeal process, which allows students to appeal their grades if they feel they are inappropriate. I have had friends who have appealed for better scores, and the professor has done the same.
Also, in case you fail a foundation course, you do not need to repeat all three foundation courses. You can just take one and repeat the same to improve grades and then further move to MBA. Yes, it is true that without completion of foundation, a student can not start MBA. However, this instruction is provided when an offer letter is issued. It is known as conditional admission. Also, they are much simpler courses to pass than the actual MBA courses.

@@marsiyanoor6592 Foundation course includes Maths/Stats, Economic and English. According to me they are easier then the actual courses. The reason they are provided to students is because they are important to understand before your start MBA for some of the students.
There is an additional fee, when you are provided admission letter, you are provided the details for the same. it is 3 more months which is one extra term.
In case you do not want to do foundation you can always reject the admission letter and apply somewhere else

I am currently a domestic student at UCW and living in Vancouver for 15 years also a college instructor in Vancouver. I think its better to do proper researcn about past and present. And you can decide for your own. Hope this helps.

This is just a personal opinion and should not influenced others, i look at it at a different point of view in regards to bad and good reviews of others, opinions are opinions people are entitled to it. Didn’t matter which institution you go theres always opinions. But what matters most to me is what knowledge I can absor and skills that can be added to what I have that i know i can utilize in my teaching profession while i transition to other areas, but also looking at potential financial stability in the future. So far, I haven’t had any major issues i can think of.. hope this gives an insight. It was a pleasure meeting you..

@@lakhanmunjal7397 UCW or any other universities in Canada do not provide campus placements. Whether you will get a job will depend upon one's hard and soft skills, network, communication skills and real time working experience in companies. Hope this answers your question.

It is a boutique type school , and really owned by Private Company in Netherlands after it went bankrupt - it is really a school that is offering cheap poor quality education to attract those who want to move into Canada. It has zero IELTS requirement and targeting so many mature people who are otherwise not accepted by other established public schools- it does so by lowering the admission requirements.
