I have been on vacation in Sain-Jean-de-Maurienne a month ago and for cyclists this reagion is pure gold. Besides the big famous climbs like Alpe d Huez, Madeleine, Galibier, Croix de Fer or Iseran there are plenty of other, rather unknown, mountains I can recommend: Beau Plan, Sapey, Chaussy, Grand Cucheron, Albanne, Mollard - these climbs are pure nature!!! I liked the Glandon more from the north side, altough the last 3,5km are ridiculously steep^^ But thanks for the video - now I have something to visually remember :)

@@BiketheWorld I will (hopefully!). I had planned a route that basically followed the D926 but think I'll follow your route. As I will be on a bike, would I need lights for the tunnels, I'll probably have them anyway but just wondering how dark they were inside

@@sdh8286 They are not that long, but lights are always great for safety reasons. Bring them, and you do not have to worry :-)
