My parents fled the country to the US and I’ve always known it was a small country only known for violence … but now the Lord has done a wonderful work in the land .

Glory to God that President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele both fears and loves God, and understands that the war is a spiritual one, not a physical one (Ephesians 6:12). I am proud of the God-prioritizing leadership in our country; may God continue to help El Salvador so that the world may know His glory and honor.

I was born in cali but my mom is from El Salvador and my dad is Armenian but I’m proud to be half salvadorian and thank God for a God fearing leader a man of faith!!
I visited this country a few months ago. Beautiful country and the uber drivers all had a bible in their cars. They were very God fearing people praise the Lord. I pray the Lord blesses them immensely for they glorify God.

Nayib Bukele, the President of El Salvador, has a complex religious background and relationship with faith. His father, Armando Bukele Kattán, was from a Christian Palestinian family but converted to Islam and became an imam. Nayib Bukele himself has expressed belief in God and frequently uses religious rhetoric in his speeches, often invoking God and spiritual themes, particularly in his efforts against gang violence. However, he has stated that he is not a practicing religious person. - TH-cam continues to delete the comment because of the citation. Times of Israel is one of the sources.
It is a simple Google search. I also listen to many of his speeches (I speak Spanish), and his language panders to a Christian audience, referring to Christ as savior, which goes against any Muslim theology.

My mom is from El Salvador and it’s really cool to see this little country plagued with corruption and violence start to thrive! I have my concerns about Bukele’s methods but he has done the impossible… he made the most violent country in the world, safe.
@didyuknow I don't think you know what exactly Bukele is suggested to have done. I read in a Vice cover of El Salvador a few years ago now (it is on youtube), he did deals with those gangs and backstabbed them. Also, the kidnappings and deaths apparently are still occuring but because Bukele has complete control, the news also in under control. Bukele is authoritarian. Most would agree with this who read about him. The previous methods, these methods. Just because you have good looking results (like instagram) doesn't mean the realness behind the scenes in real life is good. Correct me if I am wrong.

@@decarmo Thing is, I'm hearing from people who have visited since this change, as well as those living there who attest that there's a night and day difference between the past violence and the current peace. It seems the people are experiencing a peace that is not just an appearance of peace. I do not trust VICE. I do view their reporting sometimes, but while it's interesting, I'm always reminding myself that this is VICE I'm listening to. (And I may have seen the very same VICE report on this matter that you did.)
I do not totally dismiss the possibility that there may be abuses. And if that's the case, that needs correction. At the same time, I have to balance that reality with the fact that these humanitarian ORGs have no track record of ridding communities of death and destruction. I wonder if these ORGs ever think to partner with El Salvador to maximize justice rather than taking an adversarial demanding position.
And people have the nerve to say God has nothing to do with politics. Wrong.

I saw this interview and I’m so glad you promoted this. He’s an amazing Christian leader that is going to do more amazing works in His country.
I enjoyed the bible study at the end. I sometimes forget that because Jesus came to earth as a little baby and grew into a man, that He was still there all along but not in human form. I dont know why i do that but its good to be reminded to avoid confusion.
I would strongly recommend reading the book of Daniel. There you can see how God is total control over the micro and macro level. God put kings, he removes them, and all that to prepare the way for King Jesus.

I am half Salvadorian AND half Haitian...😂 2 crazy spiritual battlefields. My cousins have been excited to visit E.S. with their kids because of how safe it is. I went when I was pregnant, 9 years ago and remember how scared my uncle was to park the car in a certain neighborhood, because of the gangs.
