I feel bad for those scared by the laugh, the laughter is an essential part of the song to me (it makes me laugh, It's somewhat contagious I think) However, I have to agree with the comments about it sounding less weird when showing someone the song, or waking up to it when you left that one playlist on before bed.

I do sincerely apologize for my fear of it to u and all Gorillaz fans. The song itself is great. I have nothing against it or the Gorillaz band. But, the laugh, the video, the characters...it's all just nightmare fuel and traumatizing to certain kids like me. Maybe, if I never heard it until adulthood, I wouldn't fear it, but, the trauma damage has already been done.

The laugh gets irritating when it's your millionth listen. It's obnoxious. It's great for the first few times, but when you're working with earphones on focusing on something, the last thing you need is someone literally screeching in your ears.
