Great job Chris 😁I never thought about a rear remote detent valve 🤔That sound like a good feature to had out back. Learn something new today already what a great start.😁👍Thanks Chris🚜💨
What size hydraulic couplers are on your tractor ? I had the two rear remotes added to my LX3310 from the dealer when I bought it. They are 1/4 inch. Are yours 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch ?
Mine are indeed 1/4" couplers. I would prefer 1/2, but I don't think there is enough clearance at the ROPS to allow for them. If you look at my videos #029 and 030 you'll see what I'm talking about. Best of luck Todd, appreciate you watching. 👍😎
Just curious, which lever does what for you? If you have the hyd side link yet. On our BX the outer lever did the top link, forward was retract, back for extent, no float. That i know/knew of. Installed and set up that way by the dealer and I never once disconnected any of the hyd lines. Went to pick up a new LX 2610 saturday but there were several leaks. Prior to discovering the leaks, I did run it and cycle everything and then loaded it on the trailer. Anyway, the controls seam completely opposite and backwards. But due to the leaks, it did not come home. Tech did not get to it in time to get it today. Hopefully tomorrow. But theres supposed to be a float detent. Im just going to have to figure it all out when I get it home and unloaded. BX was sold last week.
Congrats on the new LX Drue...sorry you've had issues. Right now I have the top link hooked up to valve #1 (the "inside" lever) but I will be switching it to valve #2 since that is the valve with the float. Pulling the levers back extend the cylinder, forward compresses. If it's not doing that on your LX I assume it's because the cylinder hoses are switched at the valve. If you flip them (top to bottom, bottom to top) I think that will put them where you want them. Good luck, and Happy Holidays! 👍😎
@@watershedoverlook im hoping its that easy. Thanks for the reply! Cant wait to have it home and get to playin on it and figuring it all out and switching up those connections.
@@darylgass9532 Sorry Daryl, I was working. Your question is a good one, and a reminder that I need to do a follow-up video to this. I did discover after the fact that no, the cylinder will not "float" with the check valve. I mistakenly assumed the cylinder would float dependent on the rear remote valve, but that is not the case. That said, I have not experienced any degradation in my use...I am still SUPER happy with the top link, float or not. I may purchase a cylinder without the check valve at some point to compare, but I am loving the setup as is for now.
@@watershedoverlook Thank you for your response. I did order one with a check valve today after getting wrong information from my dealer. It won’t have the float option as is but I could always take the check valve off because they are external to the cylinder. I could then just hook up the hoses directly to the in/out ports of the cylinder and my float position would work as normal. Thanks again !
If the check valve on your new cylinder proves to be a problem, it can probably be removed from the cylinder and the 2 hoses reconnected in the conventional manner
When it comes to anything on your three-point the top hydraulic length really don't make a difference cuz you're 3 point always floats there's no down pressure on your three point... The only thing you're hydraulic top link will accomplish is the angle of your implement
That's certainly true if the three point is lowered. If, however, I am holding the implement off the ground with the lifting arms, the top link float will allow the 500 lb implement to pivot back. My tractor and box blade are in two locations right now, but once they are reunited I will test and report back with a follow-up video. Appreciate the input! 👍🙂
That is the sharp eye of experience right there! I think the answer is "yes" and "no"? The two levers ARE centered in the slots they exit out of, however the handle angle of the first lever is not the same as lever two. The handle on lever one angles forward while the handle on lever two is more upright. After reading your question I did double-check the instructions and the levers are mounted correctly. Function is all good so no issues there. Of course I've only done this once so I have nothing to compare it to!
Excellent description Chris, definitely on the shopping list. 🌴👍🚜
Thanks Mark!

Thanks Mitch, glad you found it helpful! 👍😎
Excellent description. You answered my exact question.
Thanks for watching Dan, glad it was helpful! 👍😎
Great explanation and the animation Chris 👍🏻👍🏻, have a great Sunday 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Thanks Luc, although "animation" might be a little too generous! 😉🤣🇺🇲🇨🇦
Good explanation, Chris. Thanks for sharing. - Rick
Thanks for watching Rick! 👍😎
Great information, thanks. I thinking having a float valve is a great feature
Thanks Joseph!
In the future I would like to add a hydraulic top link, and I think I'll ad a detent valve to it. Thanks for the explanation.
Excellent! Thanks for watching Ross!
Thanks for sharing this Chris
Thanks for watching!👍😎
Thanks Chris can’t wait to add back hydraulics to my tractor have a great one ☝️
Thanks for watching Dana. Go get those hydros!!! 👍😎
Good Morning Sir, thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING Informative video Sir 👍👌🧐 CHeers 🍻🍻
Thanks as always Dave! 👍😎 🇺🇲 🇨🇦 🍻
perfect. I am literally going through the valve systems to add to mu Kubota MX 6000 for christmas
Well that will make for a VERY Merry Christmas!!! 🎄🎅☃️🙂
Thanks Chris.

Will a hydraulic top link with dual piloted check valves prevent the float position from functioning ??
Is that a yes or a no please??
