About Genshin's (surface level) similarities to BOTW. Max0r adressed this in his previous video. I quote: "BOTW was so good, I wanted more of it but with anime pussy."
Genshin lore/story is awesome its sadly just not casual/beginner friendly. To get the full story you have to read in game books, item descriptions do side quests and explore every single little corner of the world. And the story isn't even done yet.
I'd disagree personally, it's the same as any other large rpg. Getting and understanding the basics is simple, the in-depth stuff takes a bit but is very rewarding.
Funny thing is when you do actual comparison in "character design" and "artstyle" it is nothing like BOTW as it is an artstyle they use since 2015 with their other game being Honkai Impact and it is also overall more anime ish while BOTW overall have a sharper artstyle and some more realistic texture
