Honestly, for the first 30 minutes I almost forgot I was watching a horror movie, so that first jump scare with the painting almost gave me a heart attack.
Holy shit! Seeing that same actor playing Dalton as a college student is crazy. I remember seeing the first Insidious movie when it initially came out and he was just a lil guy. It doesn't even feel like that long ago.
I really liked the familial connections. Finding out the upset soul following Josh was his dad but also finding out he was also affected like his son and grandson. I wish we could've gotten a quick look at his leech. Not to the extent of The Bride for Josh or The Lipstick Face Demon for Dalton, but just something. It was really cool that in the Further, Josh's dad was gentle and seemed happy that Josh finally understood just like Dalton finally understood that his dad wasn't actually a monster. I could write an entire dissertation on that character, but that was probably my favorite part.

It turns out he was burned out and another channel had basically taken over the main keywords he had used for his videos while he was on break, so his videos weren't doing that well anymore, and now he's a park ranger. He's happy now, and I think that's great, but I'll still miss his videos. I figured, just in case FoundFlix is going through something similar, I'd let him know I appreciate his work.
I think the red faced demon was more interested in building fear and anticipation because she was scared but not intimidated, she dead ass told the demon that she’ll fuck him up 🤣

It was kinda a crap end for them to be honest, sure Josh and Dolton somewhat fox their relationship but there’s still a lot to sort through, the most disappointing thing about this movie is the fact Josh and Renae split up, I know that foster was scared of him because he remembered what happened and wasn’t old enough to understand but it makes you feel bad for Josh, he did nothing wrong in any of the films and he was punished the most.

I liked the different take of the film. It honestly felt like a father's day film with a touch of horror. Focusing on the family dynamic and how trauma and experiences with our parents and how it affects us growing up was a good touch, as well as the perspective we see our parents in a children compared to when we grow up and learn their version of events.

Like what was that bs? I didn’t think Insidious Chapter 3 or The Last Key was that bad. Especially compared to The Red Door.
A little theory about the movie~ As y'all know, the Further doesn't really have a chronological time of its own, but when we think about it, if the present Dalton did not paint his past memory, his father won't have a hammer in his hand in Insidious 2. We can see in the climax of the movie that Dalton somehow astral projects and is able to grab the hammer from the painting, and place it in the basement from his childhood memory. And maybe, all this time, the lamp Josh has been holding throughout all the chapters is his father. It could mean that he's been guiding them after all those years. We can see his Ben Burton's childhood photos that it was also the Bride in Black that haunts him. Ben, thinking that jumping off the building would end the haunting, stated on a note that "This ends with me", yet the Bride in Black persisted and goes after Josh after Ben's death. Look's like Ben has been with Josh all this time every time he astral projects. Whoa I thought I had a 'little' theory. Edit: To add, it's a little sad that we don't see a movie about Allison (the girl sitting on a wheelchair).

The first Insidious was pretty solid, the rest just kind of blend together for me. been watching this channel for years, and it's always been informative, funny and never annoying. I even watch explanations to movies that I'll never see ; ). Keep it up.
There are so many inconsistencies in this movie, to start Dalton knew that wasn't his Dad attacking him hence why he went into the further to find him, the black bride was already vanquished, and Rose Byrne is criminally underutilized. Her reactions in the first movie were incredible. Whoever wrote this script should have revisited the first two films.
He forgot what happened so he didn’t understand what he was seeing. That’s why when he saw his dad again in the further he got scared. Hr remembered and pieced things together towards the end.
Did you NOT pay attention???? Literally the ENTIRE ENDING of the second movie is about BOTH Dalton and Josh lose their memory of what happened after he was in a “coma”
If the red door is not done yet, they should make a renewal series for Insidious called Spectral Sightings with Specs and Tucker along with Imogen and Melissa Rainier, Elise's nieces. The ending is pretty good father and son Josh and Dalton reunited together remembering stuff and both capable of astral projection.
The one thing I didn’t like is that this was marketed as being the Lambert’s “final” chapter in this franchise but the way it actually ended was like they could REALISTICALLY tell at least 1 maybe 2 more stories with this family, so I just don’t understand why they market things one way than in the actual movie it does something completely different, that’s not just with horror movies but most movies in general the past year honestly

my biggest complain was how dark some of the scenes were too, i undestand it but it made me feel like a ton of things were missed based on how dark some of the room scenes were
The second movie was the perfect ending for the family. Literally, the bride in black only came back because they made Josh forget. If they both forget in chapter 2 then they would've went their full life potentially until Dalton's child.

The first movie was the first horror movie I’d seen in awhile that brought out the feelings you’re supposed to have watching a horror movie. The follow up movies didn’t bring that same effect I felt, and I want to watch this movie, but I’m worried that it will tarnish my memories and emotions of watching the first one since this is a direct story connected to the original. Plus I didn’t know the kid playing Dalton was the same kid just more grown up. That makes me feel old dude!

It's not the Bride in Black/ Parker Crane ( I don't remember his name) who possesses Dalton; we only see him in the memory of what happened. It's actually the demon who has most likely been obsessed with Dalton since the first movie and he's just been waiting for Dalton to remember. We don't see the bride at any other point in the movie. I think the demon attacked Chris and allowed himself to be seen to speed up the recall process the professor started with the art exercise. It doesn't end in a very neat and tidy way, there's probably more they can get into with this in the future; but for Patrick Wilson's directorial deput, I'd say he did a good job. I liked it.

I really feel like the Insidious movies are the Poltergeist movies of this generation. They may not all be the best horror movies ever made, but I enjoy each one.
I just wanna point out it wasn’t renee that brought Josh back. He had an encounter with his father, who gave him a lantern and he guided himself back. Renee was really just there when he woke up.
I feel the Lambert family, Elyse, Specs and Tucker, and even Ol 💄Demon himself, all deserved a way better closing chapter than what they got? The Insidious franchise is far too awesome to end on a "Meh!" type of finale. I also don't mind Chapter 3 either, because it tells the tale of why Elyse had once given up on her gift and how she first met her hilarious 2 men posse, and who didn't love it when Elyse told "The Bride In Black" to "BRING IT, B*TCH!!!" and how she kicked the ol saggy titty man "Weezy's" behind? I love me some Lin Shaye and she's a horror icon! Here's hoping Mr Wan returns for the Insidious spin offs because nothing is the same without him, IMO.
I wish they would explore that scene from the first movie at the very end when Elise meets that girl in the wheelchair. I wanna know what was behind her
I was extremely disappointed by the total lack of red face demons involvement for the past few films they've set him up to be the centre enemy of it all with some kind of connection to elise but none of that ever came of anything
I really appreciate these because i have a heart condition that makes me avoid scary movies because of how obsessive films are with jump scares. So you explaining them is best for me and awesome.
You'd think after all the complaints about how underwhelming The Further dimension is, that they'd somehow go further, changing the scenery, and have more mind-bending visuals....but instead more the same; ghosts and demon are not scary and only attack when inconvenient lol! I think this film could’ve been explored more. Would’ve been interesting to see the build up to Josh and Renai splitting up. Also it was nice seeing Carl but I wished Josh would’ve pressed him a little more about why he seems so recognizable. I also understand that this film was meant to show how Josh and Dalton’s relationship fell apart because of their memories being suppressed and them remembering all the astral projection memories to understand why their relationship fell apart and on why the memories were suppressed in the first place. But I do wish that the film showed a little more of foster and see how the memories might’ve also affected his relationship with his dad and maybe with Dalton as well. Besides the family it was disappointing on how the demons were not really explored more or shown more. The lipstick demon could’ve definitely been shown more as he sees dalton again (the kid he worked so hard to possess) all he did was choke Chris and do nothing to Dalton. Also the bride in black was shown briefly and also didn’t do MUCH. They should’ve shown a new demon or done more with the bride in black. I feel like there can definitely be 1 more film on the Lambert family or they can be shown as a cameo in the spin off. Overall I am disappointed with this film. (5.5/10)
My only complaint would be the overuse of jump scares… it started to happen so frequently that they completely lost all of their effect like 2/3 of the way into the movie.
I really like how the best scare was the very first low-burn scare where that person behind Josh is slowly walking towards him while the background is so blurry

I was so bummed we didn’t get anything in the Further similar to the shotgun family in the first movie, like various horror tableaux. That aspect was my favorite part of these movies. Disappointing. The Dalton actor did a good job though.

There’s so many horror movies with plots I’m curious about but I don’t like watching them. That’s why I love this channel. I get to know the stories without having to sit through the movies.
I loved this movie. I'll be the first to say I'm sick of "trauma" movies. But I enjoyed this less terrifying, more personal story. True, I wasn't much with the Further and lacked scares. But it was something to build the universe.
I love how during watching this, the whole theater was dead silence through the whole movie except for the one person SITTING BESIDE ME who screamed during every single "jumpscare"
This Foundflix guy doesn't miss! I was rather disappointed with this 5th installment. I was hoping things would be great again. I rank them 1st, 2nd, 5th the other 2 are interchangeable for last. Decent as a story mid as a series.

I absolutely love that they said 'Insidious: The Last Key'was going to begh last one but gave one final hurray. My friends and I went to the theaters to see it and it was so good! It used old techniques, nothin really new but that is what made it so cool. Something extremely cool I noticed is when the person in the painting started out looking like the creatue keyface and slowly turned into his dad!
This movie had some good jump scares, good tunes (especially the end song), the son did a good job portraying trauma imo, we got to learn about Patrick's dad so not a bad movie, great video!!!
What I enjoyed most about this movie was the kid sitting behind me screaming every jump scare, it was hilarious

Whannell probably wrote part of the script. Teems wrote the screenplay, so it was Teems, not Whannell.

It's actually the demon who has most likely been obsessed with Dalton since the first movie and he's just been waiting for Dalton to remember. We don't see the bride at any other point in the movie. I think the demon attacked Chris and allowed himself to be seen to speed up the recall process the professor started with the art exercise. It doesn't end in a very neat and tidy way, there's probably more they can get into with this in the future; but for Patrick Wilson's directorial deput, I'd say he did a good job. I liked it.
i think it's telling that this movie doesn't have much in it since the video is way shorter than most others you post

Renai didn’t pull Josh back. His dad gave him the lantern he needed to find the way back to his body.
I was really disappointed that Lipstick demon was so unimportant to the story. And I didn’t feel his design was as scary this time around
I actually think his design was spookier in this, and he was painfully underutilized
@@megbro10Nah, no way. The original depiction of him is iconic. This one just looked like a dude with paint on his face and contacts. The other one was lanky, and everything was more intensely defined in his appearance.
Wasn’t bad. Wasn’t great. Fun to see Lipstick face again. He needs his own spin off.

I really feel like the Insidious movies are the Poltergeist movies of this generation. They may not all be the best horror movies ever made, but I enjoy each one.
I just wanna point out it wasn’t renee that brought Josh back. He had an encounter with his father, who gave him a lantern and he guided himself back. Renee was really just there when he woke up.

I feel the Lambert family, Elyse, Specs and Tucker, and even Ol 💄Demon himself, all deserved a way better closing chapter than what they got? The Insidious franchise is far too awesome to end on a "Meh!" type of finale. I also don't mind Chapter 3 either, because it tells the tale of why Elyse had once given up on her gift and how she first met her hilarious 2 men posse, and who didn't love it when Elyse told "The Bride In Black" to "BRING IT, B*TCH!!!" and how she kicked the ol saggy titty man "Weezy's" behind? I love me some Lin Shaye and she's a horror icon! Here's hoping Mr Wan returns for the Insidious spin offs because nothing is the same without him, IMO.

I was extremely disappointed by the total lack of red face demons involvement for the past few films they've set him up to be the centre enemy of it all with some kind of connection to elise but none of that ever came of anything
I really appreciate these because i have a heart condition that makes me avoid scary movies because of how obsessive films are with jump scares. So you explaining them is best for me and awesome.
You'd think after all the complaints about how underwhelming The Further dimension is, that they'd somehow go further, changing the scenery, and have more mind-bending visuals....but instead more the same; ghosts and demon are not scary and only attack when inconvenient lol! All-in-all, it is a solid series! Hope to see more vids in the future! You da best!! cheers

I think this film could’ve been explored more. Would’ve been interesting to see the build up to Josh and Renai splitting up. Also it was nice seeing Carl but I wished Josh would’ve pressed him a little more about why he seems so recognizable. I also understand that this film was meant to show how Josh and Dalton’s relationship fell apart because of their memories being suppressed and them remembering all the astral projection memories to understand why their relationship fell apart and on why the memories were suppressed in the first place. But I do wish that the film showed a little more of foster and see how the memories might’ve also affected his relationship with his dad and maybe with Dalton as well. Besides the family it was disappointing on how the demons were not really explored more or shown more. The lipstick demon could’ve definitely been shown more as he sees dalton again (the kid he worked so hard to possess) all he did was choke Chris and do nothing to Dalton. Also the bride in black was shown briefly and also didn’t do MUCH. They should’ve shown a new demon or done more with the bride in black. I feel like there can definitely be 1 more film on the Lambert family or they can be shown as a cameo in the spin off. Overall I am disappointed with this film. (5.5/10)

This movie felt like the latest Conjuring movie not very strong horror but a smooth sailing dark tone
My only complaint would be the overuse of jump scares… it started to happen so frequently that they completely lost all of their effect like 2/3 of the way into the movie.
I really like how the best scare was the very first low-burn scare where that person behind Josh is slowly walking towards him while the background is so blurry

I was so bummed we didn’t get anything in the Further similar to the shotgun family in the first movie, like various horror tableaux. That aspect was my favorite part of these movies. Disappointing. The Dalton actor did a good job though.

I watched the film and it was more family drama, which made it mild. The horror was jumpscares and i genuinily thought we might loose someone at the end of it.

There’s so many horror movies with plots I’m curious about but I don’t like watching them. That’s why I love this channel. I get to know the stories without having to sit through the movies.
I loved this movie. I'll be the first to say I'm sick of "trauma" movies. But I enjoyed this less terrifying, more personal story. True, I wasn't much with the Further and lacked scares. But it was something to build the universe.
All I know is James Wan is making MONEY!!! He pops these franchises out like hot cakes and they make millions at the box office.
I love how during watching this, the whole theater was dead silence through the whole movie except for the one person SITTING BESIDE ME who screamed during every single "jumpscare"
This wasn't a scary film but it was very moving.

This Foundflix guy doesn't miss! I was rather disappointed with this 5th installment. I was hoping things would be great again. I rank them 1st, 2nd, 5th the other 2 are interchangeable for last. Decent as a story mid as a series.

I absolutely love that they said 'Insidious: The Last Key'was going to begh last one but gave one final hurray. My friends and I went to the theaters to see it and it was so good! It used old techniques, nothin really new but that is what made it so cool.
Something extremely cool I noticed is when the person in the painting started out looking like the creatue keyface and slowly turned into his dad!

This movie had some good jump scares, good tunes (especially the end song), the son did a good job portraying trauma imo, we got to learn about Patrick's dad so not a bad movie, great video!!!
